People really are worrying about Newcastle. They'll start chucking money at better players now that they're showing some form too. FFP shouldn't be too much of an issue for them either for the time being. Will be interesting to see who they try for in Jan.
And I get that, it's totally understandable considering their owners.

The way it was brought up by @FloridaSpur though was laughable. He posted as if they are some sort of example that sacking managers over and over is ok and doesn't fuck the club, why? Because the only example he could have given to point to the fact it can work and doesn't affect how successful a club is, is Chelsea and he didn't want to do that because A/they are behind us after sacking another manager, and B/ their spend in doing so is off the charts.

Klopp needed time and money
Pep needed time and money
Arteta has needed time and money(I'm including him because he's being referenced a lot right now because of league position)
Fergusson took over United in 1986 didn't win the league until 1993, needed both time and money

Yet @FloridaSpur put forward Eddie Howe and Newcastle to debunk my post as tripe that sacking managers and not having stability and time to build was ok.

Some people say Americans know nothing about football. You’ve just proved it.
I don't think it's because he's from across the pond. There are plenty of knowledgeable Yanks on here. What I will say though is that I get replied to, and tagged into a lot of posts because of what I post. This one was one of the most insane, ill-thought-out attempts to debunk what i've posted that I've seen. I mean Newcastle have been relegated twice in the time period he took the time to period he posted.

Hate the booing at half time, smacks of entitlement. The singling out of Emerson actually really made me feel sorry for the bloke, sort of thing Arsenal fans do and I hoped our fans were above that sort of thing
Unfortunately, we have some awful fans at Spurs.
Conte's first home game last season against Leeds loads of booing at half time, if we have another first half of negativity on Saturday expect more of the same.

lol don't know what's going on this morning made a couple of double posts but for some reason I can't delete one of those.
I think you can only delete your last post. I might be thinking of a different forum though. Either way, I can never resist slipping that line in when I see a double post.

Indeed it's hardly a surprise that some of our players are so scared to push out when they know any mistake is going to get to get mountains of criticism and abuse screamed at them.

Some of our lot would boo at a school sports day

But that's a debate for another thread.....

That's why I don't think that it's worth people getting worked up about them. Concentrate on us and what we do and not others.

I am English, born in Crowland a village just outside of Peterborough, a season ticket holder of thirty eight years, split my time between FL, London and Sheringham.

"Some people say the British know nothing about football"

"You've just proved it"

PS

My first game was Spurs V United 1965. That day Greaves schooled United. (5-1)

You may want to Google "Jimmy Greaves"

Bye for now.

You imply that i am "from across the pond" meaning an American by birth? That is patently another erroneous rush to judgement.

The time period i posted was to compare the fact that Newcastle had fired more managers than we had , and that debunks your post stating that we were in a bad financial state because of the financial implications of firing managers?

Do you actually read what you intend to post before sending it out?

Lol I never suggested "we were in a bad financial state" just that it wouldn't help. Seriously your post yesterday was pointless, and now you are doubling down on it. It's just not worth the time and effort keeping something so ridiculous ongoing bud, I'm out.

I get that the football at present isn’t great.

But I think we all need to be careful what we wish for and should be backing AC to the hilt. He needs to be given a couple of seasons at the very least so the booing needs to stop pronto or it will end badly for us all.
