He had passion for jumping around on the touchline, mudslinging at press conferences and trying to further his own career. Not sure he had much passion for the fortunes of our club.

Agreed. Or, players careers, players development, working within financial constraints, tactical flexibility, player motivation, 2 games a week, etc. Nah, I'm glad he's gone. Being angry all the time is how some people show passion but its not passion, its counter productive. I'm sure he has a passion for his vision, but impatience is not a good thing when you don't have a full squad of elite players. Its at that point you need to take on the extra interests listed here and he just didn't seem to want to. His job title was 1st team Coach after all. Its no wonder he doesn't stay at a club too long.

He knows half the fans at least wanted him to stay. That's who he is thanking.

It will be an interesting atmosphere at the next home game.

If we’re trailing at half time it will off the scale toxic

Which is why all the leaks about Conte's horrible training sessions are all coming out now and doing the rounds. He sacked Jose too early to avoid a pay out, and if our position tanks now with another Interim appointment he'll 100% be blamed. This will be the club(Levy) justifying his sacking whilst we currently sit fourth.

if a new man was coming in this season it wouldn't have mattered and he'd have been afforded time imo, but he's sacked Conte saying it was in the clubs best interest to do so in order to push for fourth. If he's wrong and we drop like a stone it's now on him, and not Conte.

We have a continuity coach by the look of it. We'll see if it all works better without the anger and intimidation I suppose. If you think the word intimidation is too strong then you've never had to manage a bully out of the workplace. The body language and the talk is familiar. They always call it passion and say that they care too much.

Let's be honest, Levy loves that, he's probably currently in his office in his replica batsuit thinking he's batman at the end of Dark Knight, only hated because he chooses to be the bad guy to save us all.

Not at all. If there's one thing I've learnt about Daniel it's that he hates bad press, more than any negative fan reaction at games.

Ah I think he feels he's disliked because the fans don't comprehend things, I noticed he spoke about how much money we spent and how the fans claimed we don't spend enough with disdain for the accusations. As you've pointed out though, the monetary value is not the issue when it comes to our spending, it's who and when.

I think conte sacked himself and turned it toxic, regardless of the negatives coming out!

Maybe at the club he was a dream behind the scenes or a nightmare

Either way his interview he lost the fans,

Levy needs to beck a manager and we all except levy know the basic requirements!

But conte also put himself in a position where he had to go, however it’s spun by spurs or Conte!

With trophies, titles and glory comes hard work, intensity and commitment. It's likely these runs before matches and 'boring' training sessions would have never seen the light of day if we'd achieved anything. It's worrying to me that these players have so much power that half the time we end up back where we started.

I did enjoy Conte's passion on the sidelines at the beginning unfortunately his management and tactics failed to live up to his sideshow on the touchline. Circumstances seemed to have also played there part with his poor health and the loss of Vialli his spirit seemed broken. I could see when I went to the Milan game he truddled in with so much disinterest that a dire display soon followed matching the mood with the weather that night.

So Conte follows another serial winner Mourinho out of the door what next in the circus that Tottenham Hotspur have become. With any circus you need entertainment, next instalment Monday night then see you there!

I couldn't help imagining Levy putting on his Batman costume and then showing up at someone's wake.

Conte showed great passion. And for a while we bore the fruit of that passion. A forbidden passion.

We're forbidden passion fruit.
