I think this has been mistaken as confidence on my part that a deal is going to be agreed within 24hrs. Maybe it's how I wrote it but I was posting in a humorous way saying that if I put my cojones on the line again, maybe it would force a deal through like it did last time. FWIW, I haven't spoken to my guy and have no knowledge re the state of Nusa.
Hopefully you're not scheduled for a gelding operation later this week then 😂

Been to the what fan opponents say thread and there’s a lengthy discussion about old fogies. Slide over to Ndombele chat and it’s vascilatiing between mental illness and thyroid tidbits. And now over to Nusa, and we’re back to H88’s twig and berries.

Just another day on SC: SNAFU.

Not sure if it has been discussed in this thread (I can't see it being discussed), but the elephant in the room for me is whether Brugge need to sell this window.

If they don't need the cash this window, why would they not hold onto him until the summer, when he would probably be worth more and other clubs may have sorted their finances?

To my view, this is possibly the biggest road block to us signing him. If it doesn't happen this window, I am not sure we will be able to get it done in the summer with the additional possible competition in for him.

Maybe I am worrying unnecessarily.

Any posters that can clarify the above query about Brugge and their necessity to sell, would be greatly appreciated.

Edit. @Ghost Hardware may have answered as per below.

Like most European clubs they are not really in a position to turn down a good fee. After all they would have sold him last summer if Nusa had said yes. They know he wont be there next season. The key factor is they don't want him leaving now as they qualified for the next round of the Conference League and they also aren't having the best season, currently 5th in the league, 14 points off first, and they really want to get some sort of European place. Weather or not 22 mil will be enough I don't know tho. One also have to keep in mind that these things are never guaranteed, what if Nusa gets injured or his form dips significantly then his price will go down a lot. I mean look at Orban, he just moved for €13 mil and only last summer he was valued at €30 mil.
I just noticed this post (on the first page.. lol) that probably answers my above post.
