Either way. Sorry for confusion. I thought everyone knew FootballnLondon was a pile of crap. My post was more to take the piss out of the headline when the story completely ignores it.

It's not though. Ali Gold is one of the most reliable journalists for spurs (when its actual news rather than predictions). Turns out yours was more the one that broke the camel's back and it was someone posting footy insider which was deleted before I saw it.

Yeah to be honest we all should know by now not to post shite like that. So please for the love of god don't do it again.

What’s happened there I’ve seen some post but can’t sync in in my tiny brain
In summary: One person downed tools because another person inserted the Chelsea score from yesterday to the player thread. The person who was annoyed by the score revelation, had DVR'd the game and wanted to watch it later. And felt that everyone across SC should refrain from including the score from a game in a player thread, even it's a score from the team the player in question plays for. In turn, said poster was hung, drawn, and quartered.

A bit of an observation, this particular little saga has been going on for around a week and we've still got nothing to show for it and yet despite the odd report of possible hijacks, the mood in here is pretty calm not to say jovial. We've come a long way from the absolute knee jerk meltdowns of previous windows.

If Newcastle sold Almiron for £30m then bought a replacement, also for £30m, it would likely show as a ~£25m net positive for their PSR calculation.

The purchase would be amortised over the length if the contract (say 6 yrs), so would be £5m per year, whereas Almiron's sale would be (almost) pure profit on the books, as he signed 5 years ago so his cost has probably already been fully accounted for in previous years.
Yeah not far off. I would guess that Almiron's book or asset value is just over £3m right now

(Signed in Jan 2019 for £21m on a 5-year and signed a new 3.5 year deal in Feb 2023. Just before he signed the new deal he'd be down to = £4.2m (1 year left at £4.2m per season). That £4.2m would then be spread over 3.5 years with 11 months now gone.)

So selling Almirón would bank a profit this year of £27m and as you say buying Nusa would cost approx £5m in year 1. So they'd be +£22m

Should probably say that of they did still break the rules at some point the FA would probably take a dim view of them having essentially fixed today by using tomorrow's money

So in essence. Don’t tell us the transfer details of any Brugge business (well not in the Nusa thread anyway), because we’re all waiting for the deadline day show on TV. Don’t need no spoilers man!!
