If that figure is what they are actually after, which I could maybe understand given his potential but im still skeptical is accurate, then I'd want him joining now.
Especially as CDK was 2 years older and played double the games

CDK didnt have a great first season at Milan he's on loan somewhere now? I think he's also the record transfer in Belgium

Brighton in talks with Gil apparenly, according to Corielle Dello Sport, so maybe we're getting Nusa this month rather than loaning him back?
Not too sure Gil is really required now with Werner here. It won't be too long until Son returns and Soloman is back soon too. I think we are actually well covered without Nusa. We just need to decide in the summer if Nusa comes in whether to sign Werner and if Richarlison is still good enough up top. I guess also see how Soloman progresses. We seem fine for numbers but need to address whether the quality is there.

Brighton would be good for Gil though. That way we can see if he can adjust to the league with more games.

Not really surprising if that ends up being the case. I think its fairly well reported that the only other position we would potentially move for is at CM and only if PEH moves which i still think is unlikely.

yup, agree. think if peh goes we pull the trigger on ederson tbh but the 2 are dependent on each other.

I'm still relaxed either way. We either get a wunderkind for the future or we don't but we've sorted out the glaring hole in the squad already and have another forward in, which I already consider a Brucey bonus tbh.

I'm greedy though so gimme that gravy.

I reckon we want Nusa now so that we can assess him properly in training and then see if he's ready to contribute next season. That would then allow us to make a decision on Werner, Solomon and Gil for next year. Harder to do if we sign him in the Summer when we wouldn't have any time to decide.

Would be a good bit of business getting in nusa but would really like us to go for jonathan rowe too. If we can’t do anything this month, try and get the deal lined up for the summer.

Son, Kulu, Werner, Rowe, Nusa has good mix for wide areas going into next season.

I see that Rowe plays on the left. Wouldn't that be overkill on the left?

I Think he can play across the 3 positions, LW/CAM/RW. Seems like ange likes players who can play more than one position too.

We've got Johnson and Solomon as well.

Don’t really see Johnson as RW long term, I think he may suit the Striker role where he’s taking less touches and finishing off moves rather than creating them.

Regarding Solomon, he looked ok in the few games he’s played for us & could potentially do a job but was more of a opportunistic signing. If he doesn’t fit in with the way we play, wouldn’t be a loss selling on.

And Gil if he stays.

Reports suggest we are trying to sell/listening to offers for Gil.

The players I listed in the original post are the options I feel would be best suited going into next season. Also if Nusa isn’t ready, we have the option to keep Solomon and give Nusa a loan at a higher level.

Just think it was bold to list Rowe (very much unproven) in the list and not Johnson (who did very well in the Championship as well) or Solomon (who has literally done well in the CL in the past). I take your points generally though.

It’s just non-comital waffle isn’t it. This is what sports journalism is now, reporting on nothing to fill a quota.
It is, but given people were discussing it I thought why not share.

Bored now. I miss the chaos of the Italian press.
I totally feel you mate, was thinking the exact same earlier. We should continue hunting primarily in Italy cause other transfers now feel like a snooze fest.
