Player threads are pretty relaxed but there is a thread for Maddison and a thread for tonight's match. It's not really hard to take all the chat there. Not one who rated but it's not so much it's off topic as it clearly belongs in another section outside of itk.

I get that, and agree. But, it is also 1, very easy to forget or not pay close attention to which thread you are in and 2, sometimes very easy to have been sucked in to a discussion regardless of the forum they are in.

Anyway, apologies but I dare say even those going through the page giving off topic ratings have done so inadvertantly before.

But then isn't that what the off topic rating is for? To pull people up on the fact. Nothing more to be made of it. I wouldn't worry about the rating, it's really not that bad. It's just a friendly reminder what thread it is. I think the rating just came because there were several posts so the thread was drifting away.

I think others, much like myself, merely responded with an opinion on something posted in here without realising which thread they are in.
I am at work and getting an audit completed by my boss so I quickly popped on and replied.
What is reassuring though, and it might just make me sleep soundly tonight is the fact a number of generous souls have been marking our posts as off topic so that we know the errors of our ways.
Curiously, the courage of their convictions didn't stretch to marking an off-topic post from an ITK as off-topic.
Now I am not advocating neg repping ITK, I haven't and wouldn't but those bastions of all that is right and good surely have a zero tolerance to off topic posts?
