Anyone else think Sandro is better than Parker?

Of course 'Arry won't drop his boy Scotty he's a Triffic lad. But I personally think he's been shit most of this year and think Sandro is miles better in that midfield.

For the record I think Parker is quite possibly the most overated player in the premier league today. Far far too safe for my liking.

Opinions and all that. I Expect to be slated for this.

I think Sandro is potentially a much better player but Parker does offer leadership and a bit of backbone. Having said that, he's desperately out of form and I would advocate giving Sandro a run at his expense, or at the very least alongside him.

sandro is light years better and i said when he first played for us that he was a player worth building team around and not the rest of the them.

would not suprise me if he left in summer. he should be playing every week.

i always have but it matters not what i think. infact, livermore's recent performances have been better than both of them imo.

He's sort of been out with a series of injuries this season after he knee blow out at the Copa America. It remains to be seen whether Redknapp will include him in the 1st team once everyone is back fit.

Parker has been painfully average since the turn of the year, but then again the same could be said of Modric, King and Ade compared to their usual high standards. Sandro WILL BE better than Parker, he may ALREADY be, but he's not in his 30's and a bargain buy so Harry wont play him every week

I would drop Parker and bring in Sandro for Bolton and Swansea - give him a breather and also a 'jolt' that he isn't untouchable and needs to raise his game. The best he has played this year IMO was against Holland.

Sandro has the potential to be one of the best box to box midfielders in the world. He has been injured a fair bit this season hence it's been a stop and start one for him so far. Next season he should be made number one with Parker as his deputy.

p.s. Parker is in need of a rest right now.....

Parker was tremendous up until December. I'm delighted he's here but....the lack of rotation is killing us.

Sandro will be a fantastic player for us but Harry sticks with the players he knows best.

yes, Sandro is better at pressing, heading, tackling, passing, and going forward!

Parker had some fantastic games in September but he's been very average since the Newcastle game in Oct, with one or two exceptions. Sandro should start every game as DM and Parker should be his backup, or his partner in the 4-2-3-1 in more defensive games.

Parker would have been a good signing but only if it wasn't at the expense of Sandro. if it costs us Sandro in the summer in it will be a disaster.

Parker has been doing his job the players around him have not

This is the simple truth.

And Parker and Sandro are slightly different players. Personally I'd like them both in there with Sandro the more disciplined defensive and Parker the more box to box of the two.

And for the record, when Sandro finally gets to play every week for a few months, and regularly does his excellent busy ****ed stuff week in week out but fails to do anything spectacular and those fancy ****s around him stop scoring and creating, our manager commits tactical suicide and our full backs defend like muppets, there'll be a thread like this, and like the Palacios ones and the Jenas ones blaming him for a "loss of form".

do you think parker is playing as well as he has all season then bus? you don't think he's dropped off considerably or at all?

as for sandro i thought he could go on to become a vieira/yaya type player when watching him power forward last season, he didn't seem particularly flustered in the final third either. it's been a real disappointing season for him, which is mostly down to injuries in fairness.

parker was our player of the season until feb and then the amount of games has caught up with him (although tiredness is a ridiculous excuse if you ask me) and should have been rotated. for saturday i would play them both but if lennon is back there is no way sandro will start.

Visibly, for me no, Parker is just doing the things he does and he's doing them pretty much the way he was doing them all season. Covering lots of ground getting up and down, side to side etc. He is what he is and I don't really see visibly what he's not doing now that he was doing 6 months ago. Difference was we were winning and no-one was gazing too deeply into his naval.

I haven't checked thoroughly, but I'm pretty sure the stats would support that. Last night for example he made as many passes as Modric and gave the ball away less and of course still fulfilled his remit as sole terroriser of the opposition.

Personally I don't think Sandro will ever be as good going forward as he is at the defensive side, but to be fair to him (and me) I'd really like to see him get a run of games with the right set up to see just how good he can be in that respect. I would say thought that I think he's possibly the best hunter gatherer I've seen. He's relentless when it comes to winning the ball.

Personally, and I know he has had a season disrupted by various injuries, I havent been overly impressed with Sandro in the games he has played this season. Parker is deservedly ahead of him in the team. Not being able to stay fit isnt helping Sandro either.

You might want to see where Parker was passing too. Modric plays the ball forward, Parker plays one two's with king and kaboul. Yes Sandro is definitely the better player than Parker and I have been saying this all season. He has the look of a Toure/Vieira in him and I can see a big italian team snapping him up at the end of the season whilst Aitch goes for P Nev as back up to Parker.

What doesn't help is Parker having to do the lions share in the centre of midfield whilst all those around him leave the defensive discipline and work ethic back in the changing room.

It's also compounded by continually playing a straight four man midfield leaving him and Modric often isolated in the middle - have to change to a three man midfield in;

Sandro (Livermore when injured) Parker Modric
