Are there any Heurelho Gomes doubters left?

Do any Yids still doubt our number one? Anyone think we should look to move him on and get someone better in during the summer?

I love the bloke. Think he's a brilliant keeper who obviously needed time to settle. Delighted he's our number one.

Massive fan of the octopus. Didn't like him too much after driving all the way to Eindhoven to see him put on an amazing display, but i love him playing for Spurs. Glad his hiccup didn't cost us a goal yesterday otherwise the media who seemed to love putting him down would have been in over drive.

Anyone who actually watches Spurs knows he's awesome. Up there with the best in the league, easily.

He's top class. I cant think of another keeper we could realistically get being anywhere near him.

some of the papers still haven't cottoned on though! i think he's one of the best in the league at shot stopping and more recently commanding the area, he seems settled, his understanding with the defence has improved, even his goal kicks are okay now. i'd let him shag my wife. i wish i was brazilian too.

Even the positive threads in this place right now still manage to be tinged with some degree of spite, theres so much passive aggression in this place right now its like an er.... um.... thing

The more I watch Milan, the more I see them making a move for Gomes this summer.

I'm not watching Milan anymore this season.

Best shot stopper in the league.

Media still don't give the dodgy keeper shit a rest though.

His kicking is a little off at times, but he makes up for it with everything else.

Absolute quality.
I'm actually glad he had a few calamities in the beginning. Just think if he'd been as top drawer as he's been this season for his whole Spurs career.....Purple nose would have signed him up for the Mancs to replace VDS for sure.

Gomes is good, better than Robinson, and that's what we needed, an improvement on our last keeper.

He's far from perfect though, his kicking is quite weak, backpasses and especially kicking from his hands - he often fails able to accurately pick out Crouch/the strikers, making it tougher for them to win the ball and maintain possession.

He does still have the odd flap, but no one's perfect!

I may sound negative about him, but I'm quite happy with our number 1!!! :)

Not sure which goalie in the league is inarguably better. No goalie is a better reaction stopper, and I can't think of any who are particularly commanding on crosses and high balls anyway. Best goalie around!

Would put him in the top 10 of the best goal keepers in the world. Lovely bloke too.

his early problems last season were always overstated anyway. He had a dodgy run of 3 or 4 games in Sept and October, when the entire club was sucking, and the press jumped all over him.

Well I thought he was shit when he first came here, I still think he was but he's come on leaps and bounds under Harry and Parks. He's come good and I'm really happy he proved me wrong. Just hope he keeps it up.
