Looked at the table this morning and thought I hope West Brom win to over take us. So here we are at hte bottom of the Premier League once again, and some would say we're doomed. I thought so myself back in October. Right now I prefer to look forward to beating Portsmouth and climbing up to 12th, and onwards into the top half of the table in the next few games. They said West Ham were too good to go down a few years ago but they did, along with was it Harry?.. Are we still feeling pessimistic or are Spurs truly too good to go down.

Looking at the table again... we sell Keane and Berbatov and their new clubs are now at the top of the League while we are at the bottom... maybe we are doomed after all.

I still think we have too much talent in the squad to go down but it is Harrys job to get the tactics right and the players in the right frame of mind...

I think its wrong that he has tried to pass so much blame onto everyone else but himself. He needs to gamble a little by trying out Ghaly, Tarabbt, Bostock as we are crying out for some youngster to smash a couple of goals in.

He needs to play Huddlestone more as we look like a lot more of an attacking force with him in the team.

I like to think I am not pessamistic but its hard when we are sitting at the foot of the table again..

We're bottom of the league on january 18th and i cant remember the last time i saw us win, the only way its possible to be pessimistic is too say that ill be able to walk down to the pirelli and watch Burton play Spurs in a couple of years!

EDIT On refelection I wasnt just saying it to make a point; I genuinely cant remember the last time I saw us win!

Anything other than a victory against Portsmouth and I fear we won't escape relegation, we don't have any battlers in our team, there is no reason to be anything other then pessimistic, a victory on the other hand should give us that bit of belief.

The irony is that we may be in this mess because everyone was slightly too optimistic in previous times!

That's a toughie and my answer isn't really going to make sense, because I think that we can be too critical of mistakes that our players make and adopt a 'grass is always greener' approach on other teams players.

And at the same time, I think we are too optimistic in our ambitions now. I still think we should be right up near the top of the table, but that's just a rose-tinted view left over from our Martin Jol 5th places, when things were really looking up. (and from all the glory years beforehand of course).

Are you just awake or have you not gone to bed yet???

Either way, that's a little bit of an over-reaction.

There is every chance we could get beat today as the players will be as nervous as the fans - and all the moaning and groaning (baby) from the stands if we're not 2 or 3 nil up by half time is bound to have an effect on them.

Too good to go down? NO.

Will we? If we keep losing games, yes.

I'm not a huge Harry fan, but what i do like about him is that he calls a spade a spade, and tells the players that they must try harder when they've been playing without commitment or passion.

It is then up to these very well paid individuals to react to that and play for the badge on their shirts and the supporters who pay for their flash cars, houses, clothes............etc.

We're not relegated if we get beat today, but it'll be a painful kick in the nads if are.

Anywho not to worry, we're going to win 2-0 and Zokora is bound to score.

well maybe not zoko

I like to think i've got a balance between optimism and pessimism, but always have faith.

Doomed Doomed Doomed......SPurs fans are notoriously pesimistic, however we are even more fickle then we are pesimistic (run the same poll next time we win a game and add a CL qualification option, see what happens)

I'm always the optimist and am as certain as ever that there are still a few worse teams than us. We have plenty of good players who have done well at times. We are still in three Cups so we can't be that bad. 'arry should be able to get them in shape (he wants his bonus). We have a critical seven games coming up where if we do well we could leap up the table. If mid-table is 7th to 14th then yes I am still hopeful we will finish mid-table...that is not in the bottom 6.

The problem at the moment is our team is not fighting as hard as other teams, but we have much more talent and quality in our squad compared with the teams around us at the momement.

However, should we win a game or two I expect us to put a handy run together and pull out of this mess. We need to sign the right players to balance out our squad (Palacios I feel would be perfect for the midfield but if not him someone of similar elk) and we do need a striker who can link play, create and russtle a few feathers (at this stage that is looking like being Bellamy) still I think once these signings are made things will be fine.

Ok the season will still be poor considering our objectives, but I am sure we will have enough to stay up (and hopefully get another cup in the bag)

I guess the days of "we need someone to bring us to the next level" are well past us for the time being.

Our players are too good to play in the Championship.

Our team COULD go down.

We have lots of great individuals, but they need to work together better, grow in confidence and score more bloody goals.
