I'm prepared to put my complete faith in the Sun when they come out with stories like this

SPURS are fighting Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid to land Carlos Tevez.

The Argentinian striker believes his time is up at Manchester United but wishes to stay in the Premier League.
Sources close to Tevez have told SunSport that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp loves the player so much he will try to buy him from his owners for around £25million.
Wheeler-dealer Redknapp is planning a major clearout at White Hart Lane in a bid to raise substantial funds for new players.
He wants rid of Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, England attacker Darren Bent and midfielder David Bentley — and will also consider offers for others.
Redknapp can guarantee Tevez first-team football and is convinced the popular striker would be a major hit in North London.
He reckons Tevez could take Spurs to the next level and give them a chance of competing for Champions League places.
But he recognises Tottenham would be outsiders with so many clubs after Tevez.
Tevez insiders insisted: “There are lots of different clubs all over Europe who want Tevez and each one is being considered carefully.
“Spurs would really like him but there are questions about whether they can raise the money quickly enough.
“Tevez would like his future sorted out soon and Spurs will have to do a lot of work if they want to get him.”

Oh ye football gods be kind to us yids this summer

real madrid, united or tottingham...hmmm i wonder what his preferred choice would be.

i bet he comes off the bench in the champions league final, scores the winner and is immediately signed up by ol' red face.

Well surely Sir Alex won't sell to Man City (local rivals) or Chelsea (title contenders) so I suppose theres a tiny little chance...

That said I'd still bet my house that he won't come here in the summer.

ha ha ha ha haaaa
would be nice but just no
Harry can promise him first team football? Spurs don't do them offers.
This is all just his agent trying to get United to give him a deal asap.

For Tevez we can easily raise that type of money, perhaps even from the left overs of the profits obtained when selling Berbatov and Keane.
Tevez, along with Palacios, Modric, Gomez, Woody,Aaron, Ekkoto and keane (on a good day) defintely would take us to another level.
Plse 'Arry, pretty, pretty pleaseee........buy him

Nothing to do with Man U...his loan finishes at the end of the season so hes a free agent and can do what he wants.

Think we need a Berbatov replacement much more than an upgrade on/competition for Keane/Defoe.

Will end up at a much bigger club than us, probably in Spain.

I don't think Sir Alex has any say in where Tevez goes but I'd think he'd be unwise to move to City.
I'd love it if he would come here, he did play for the spammers, can't see it happening though:-(

He's not Fergie's to sell, he's on a two year loan deal from his owner kia jooraboface with an option to buy him for £30 mill. Clearly Utd don't feel he's worth that much, so if there's another club out there willing to meet Kia's asking price then he's off.

Ah of course. Well I suppose that makes it a bit more plausible then, but still very unlikely.

i can see it coming:

itkyxz on SO:
Tevez done 100% if nothing dramaticly changes the next few hours!

joke aside i dont know if hes the player we need, he would def be a good upgrade on our strike force but i doubt that he would take us to the next stage, especially i think for 25m we could get one or even 2 players who would give us a bigger boost.

If we manage to sell Keane and Defoe in the summer then he'd be a good signing,
not sure we can pay his wages though.

Surely this would mean the end for Keane imperticular and probably Defoe
we'd neeed Keane to fuk off for even a chance at his wages surely
real work horse and actually reasonably good in the air.. guess i wouldnt be upset if we signed him

I really want Tevez in our team.
He's a player who gives 100% all the games.
