Arsenal 'inexperience' excuse again...

I've been posting in an Arsenal topic on this other forum I frequent, and I got sick of people using the ready made excuses about their inexperience whenever they do poorly.

Things such as claims Spurs only got back into the 4-4 with them because Arsenal were inexperienced, only lost to Stoke because of inexperience and so on.

Scroll through that, see what you think, even register and weigh in if you like. Would be nice to have some more Spurs fans there, being almost all alone to face the ridicule of pretty much everyone else there :p

couldn't get past the first page but a tag line on the first post said "theres only one team in North London and they didn't com 5th"
True I thought; they came 11th and won a trophy:)

Wouldn't it be nice just once to hear wenger say "hands up I'm to blame, I sub'd van persie and walcott and dropped them for the next game" "I blew it" but I bet we never ever will.

This is Spurs chat I really don't care about what Arsenal are doing unless we're playing them.

Maybe you should post this like i posted on another site.
The urban myth about arsenal

I'm sick to death about hearing the same old tired old excuses about the so called young arse team, and how they are still learning, they are only kids, the team is still maturing etc.

Last nights starting line ups average ages were

arse- 24.63 years
Tottenham-23.82 years

After the subs were made the average ages are now

arse-24.90 years
Tottenham-23.45 years

Average age of the 14 players used last night was

arse-24.21 years
Tottenham-23.29 years

Will the media ever report or pick up on the above facts?.....will the heck. Why let a good lie get in the way of the truth hey!
Im not saying we are better than arsenal, far from it in fact, but every time we lose its reported we have spent fortunes, and if arsenal lose we hear how young their team is and it needs time.
Arsenal have a chosen style of football and are trying to perfect it rather than change it when results don't go there way. These are qualities i respect alot but the "we've got a young team" excuse every time they lose, or heaven forbid draw

is getting very tiring, and as stated above, its not even particularly true!

Arsenal are shit because Wenger has totally lost the plot and may well need psychiatric treatment.
He is believing the shit that pours out of his mouth on a daily basis and feels that the world is against him and his precious adorable players!
He can't understand why the world does not love and respect him for making Arsenal the only true footballing team in the world who uphold all the rules of the game and the morals of mankind!

The thing is, there is an argument that Arsenal are using some inexperienced players. The way it's reported though it's as if they could do nothing about it - as if someone had banned them from buying players over the age of 21. If Wenger is putting out a team that is inexperiences it's nobody's fault other than those people at Arsenal that manage their transfers. It's like us asking for sympathy for not having enough strikers. We'd soon get short shrift for that.

I found this in the Guardian today, strange stuff...

Slump puts Gunners on awkward groundMatt Scott The Guardian, Wednesday November 5 2008 Article historyArsenal's property division intends to pay back £133.5m in loans within eight months but club directors insist that commitment will not affect January transfer budgets.

The Gunners' title challenge has failed to materialise so far this year and they look in dire need of investment in the squad. Fans looking for succour in the club's accounts would be alarmed to discover an enormous liability. "Bank loans of £133.5m are categorised as creditors falling due within one year on the basis of their expected repayment profile," note the accounts to the end of May 2008.

Arsenal's directors claim the debt is "ring-fenced" from their football-club operation and does not actually need to be repaid in full until January 2010. Instead the repayments will be funded by ongoing sales of the 680 flats at the Highbury Square old-stadium development. Shareholders were told at the club's AGM last month that 100 of 136 pre-sold flats had reached completion, giving Arsenal's property division almost £40m of the £133.5m that they intend to repay before the end of May. But, although independent valuers recently confirmed the club's valuations as reasonable, the property market continues to slide and there are no guarantees that buyers will not walk away from their deposits in the future.

"The achievement of these sales may be affected by the current downturn in the UK property market and the difficult conditions in the mortgage lending sector," said Arsenal's chairman, Peter Hill-Wood. "The Group is monitoring the position closely."

Interesting.

The last pages are the most interesting ones.

Getting the double standard now that Fabregas is too young to act as a leader to the team, from the same guy who said at the beginning of the season that Messi needs to impose himself on the game more when the team is playing poorly, which he has done, at the same age as Fabregas...

No-one complains about the 'inexperience' of Arsenal's 12-year-olds when they win. It's a wonderful use of double standards.

Hardly a crisis at Arsenal really is it?

They are 4th, with 27 games to go, and 6 pts behind the leaders.

So I am not sure why he's making excuses at all.

Still, I do think that it is getting tedious that he rolls out the same schtick every time.

They face a sterner test now with injuries and a drop in form but they are not out of the race.

I thought we had this discussion before anyway, why bring it up again?
