Something wrong with the BBC live match text page.

  1. 2010:
GOALArsenal 0-2 Wigan - Jordi Gomez (8 mins)
  2. 2008:
GOALArsenal 0-1 Wigan - Franco di Santo (7 mins)
Safe to say that nobody saw this coming. Wigan break quickly from the resulting corner and Jordi Gomez releases Franco di Santo, who takes the ball past Wojciech Szczesny and slots home.
It has often played up in recent months.

Now that's a pretty scoreline. Unfortunately though I think Wigan have probably scored their goals too early in the game. Better early than never obviously, but can see another 5-2 style comeback scenario coming up. Well that's what I'm telling myself anyway. Wouldn't want to get too overexcited knowing how things tend to go this season.

I was just thinking 5-2. In Wigan's favour is the momentum they have. They won at Anfield, only poor officiating meant they lost v Chelsea, and last week they beat(and took points off them for the first time) ManU

desperately need Arsenal to slip up here

If Wigan hold on to the win and we can beat QPR, an Arsenal/Chelsea draw would make things very interesting indeed

Yeah it'll give Newcastle a great chance of leapfrogging Arsenal...

The worst thing is it doesn't matter if arsenal slip up as we won't be able to capitalise.

I know that Wigan have been excellent lately, but come on, this is Arsenal, somehow those twats always land on their feet :(

i dunno

If Arsenal lose we might just finish the season strong like we did after our last semi final defeat and you never know, all our games are winnable if we play to our potential. An Arsenal loss would at least put us back in the mix

You just know Arsenal are going to come back and dent any hopes we have of 3rd :(.

Hmmm. Before the match I put a tenner on there being 5 or more goals at 7-1. I think I'd happily have Wigan hold out and lose my tenner. :)

Praying Wigan do win this (obviously), because I think it'll make Arsenal play better against Chelsea. Still not convinced we'll catch Arsenal, even if they do lose. So them beating Chelsea could be huge for us considering Chelsk still have to play Newcastle and Liverpool.

For the last 5 games, 5 Spurs wins would get 3rd if Arsenal lose one and draw one.

When we got 4th 2 seasons ago after losing to Portsmouth in an FA Cup SF, the next 5 gave 4 wins(Home to Arse/Chelsea/Bolton, away to City; and a loss(ManU away)
