It's funny what a few weeks can do - if this match had been right after City we'd be full of it on here, yet just over a month later and everyone's quaking in their boots.

They are confident at the moment, and we're not - but it could lead to complacency on their end, while Poch will be looking for a reaction after the tongue lashing he gave them midweek.

We're certainly not going to go there and dismantle them, but at the same time as long as the work ethic and fitness that we have shown the majority of the time under Poch is present, then we'll be hard to beat.

In many ways this is the ideal match after a disappointing result - get the adrenaline flowing and juices pumping, and forget Wembley. Harry being back should give most of the lads a spring in their step too, even if only from the bench.

Think they will beat us 3-1 maybe even 4, no Toby at the back, lack of attacking threat on our part (I don't think we can put unfair reliance on Kane after being out injured for so long or expect him to fix all our problems) if they turn up like they have been in recent weeks and we turn up like we did in our last game in the CL then we will collapse after 2 goals, could be another Newcastle situation.

I am not confident at all, the only way I see us getting something from this is if Arsenal turn up just expecting to win OR they hit their regular bad patch of form in November.

What's it like getting into the Emirates?

If I arrive at Finsbury park at 11AM then I'm assuming that would be plenty of time.

When you get into the stadium they are normally playing Simon and garfunkels sound of silence.

A win tomorrow and Poch will have the same wins in his first 87 PL games as Wenger did in his first 87

Can't lie. Not feeling optimistic. Not just because we're wobbling, but because I've been saying for weeks that I think Arsenal are serious business this year.

It's like trying to get into a sewer over packed with shit and vile stench, it's a nasty job, nobody wants to do it but sometimes you have to take one for the team and do the job just to cleanse the place of the scum that lays within it every once in a while.

Ffs, we're still unbeaten in the League.

The stench of defeatism in this thread is everything that encapsulates the Tottenham mentality and culture surrounding the club of the last 20 years. Pochettino has changed the mentality within the Club, the mentality amongst the support has to change, despite our current dip.

In any case, I think we'll see a strong response. Might not be enough for a result, but I can't see us getting embarrassed like so many on here are forecasting.

I understand your frustration mate but I think given our form and Arsenal's form in this instance the pessimism is slightly warranted, I am as optimistic as they come but if we put a performance in like we did the other night at Wembley I can sincerley see us getting embarrassed.

The thing is, I know we still have it in us, that Newcastle result is proof of what happens with this team if their heads drop enough, however I also know we have it in us to destroy Arsenal if we are at the races, I am not sure he has changed the mentality entirely yet, we have improved significantly there is absolutely no doubt about that but I still feel we have it in us to make ourselves look worse than we are.

I would probably feel different if that Newcastle result didn't happen and we had not performed as we have in recent games, however like I said I do agree he is going the right way to improving the mentality amongst the players and the club and I also agree the fans need to also improve that mentality (overall) however I can understand and sympathize with why people are feeling a little disheartened going into this game and why they feel like we may get played off the park given our current predicament alongside our injuries.

I think it's the manner of our recent performances rather than the results which have caused concern, a reminder of the spurs before Poch almost.

In many ways that's a compliment to Poch as we expect so much more from these players because we know they can do better and we know Poch can do better.

After 2 years of generally good performances you turn on him after one bad game (y)

And to me it really wasn't his worst in that span. We asked him to do far too much in the Bayer game. Your FB should not be the focal point of your attack.

It's only Friday and I'm already tense.

I just hope to god that we don't put in a Spursy display.

God I hate this saying and I hate the fact that the fans started it.

We are trying to move away from this shit and people that keep using it, you are dragging us back.

We are better than that shit saying, so please stop it, we've moved on.
