Arsene Wenger believes Champions League qualification has as much merit attached to it as winning a domestic cup competition.
"For me, there are five 'trophies'," says Wenger, speaking at the club's AGM today. "The first is to win the Premier League, the second is to win the Champions League, the third is to qualify for the Champions League, the fourth is to win the FA Cup and the fifth is to win the League Cup."
Wenger has not won a trophy with Arsenal since 2005, when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final

Makes me mad all these shit English clubs, look at City, two years in and both times humiliated. Our first run we were put with the Champions of the competition, Dutch champions (I think?) and Werder Bremen who were in the top 10 Uefa rankings. Yet we came out on top and did ourselves proud despite being humiliated in one half against Inter.

Teams like Arsenal and City just seem happy to be in it and don't care about trying to win it. Least we gave it a go, just a shame everything goes wrong for us whenever we qualify.

I bet if we qualify this year, world war 3 will break out and all football will be suspended.

If Arsenal are competing for a trophy in 4th... then they clearly aren't competing for the Premier League title and the Champion's League trophy at the same time as competing for this '4th place trophy'.
