Best thing that Woolwich have going for them is their fantastic PR team.

"It's fine we'll get Top 4 in our own time. Waaaaaaaaaa"

How fragile must the squad morale and finances be if signing a couple of quality players “gambles everything.” Had they beaten us to Kulusevski or Newcastle to Guimaraes it‘s hardly breaking the bank is it.

I can partly understand wanting to back Arteta etc, but this just stinks of cowardice to me.

Article says: What's more important: the longer-term rebuild or a short-term unanticipated push for Champions League qualification?

Reminder: Arteta has been there 3 years.

See their main targets are Tielemans and Jesus, to me they’re perfectly suited to Arsenal, to me they are soft players, when all is going well they’ll be playing good and will be lapped up, but when theyre in a tough situation they’ll go under, similar to Ben White, ramsdale ect, decent players but have ‘soft underbellies’

Backs up the point I made before.

Chance to invest? Nah, they aren't that ambitious, too risky.

Also, coming out with guff like "CL is too much for our team now" is exactly the 'make it up as you go along' comment.

If they had have qualified, they'd be saying that it was their target by 3rd year and start of season and they've achieved it.

Agree with Tielemans.

Will never forget his awful pass to us to set up our winner.

Players all seem to need a strong coach to keep motivated and learn. We have established players as Dier and Kane all praising Conte with how he has help them (and we are seeing the results). With Arteta establish players will get frustrated and question things with him if results/tactics are questionable (if he’s as poor as he seems to be) rumbles will happen. To push on they need s stronger coach IMO.

Arsemania - Sunday night

"Funny thing is Levy probably won’t care if Conte wants to leave if Poch becomes available. He’ll thank him for top 4 and bring back Poch. Sp**s already have to pay £80m for Kulusevski and Romero and Conte will probably want another £150m on top of that. Good luck with that….."

I genuinely think Arsenal have missed their window to get back in the top 4 and it’ll be a while now before they get back in the UCL. They could win the Europa League but they showed such a soft centre at the back end of the season - along with Arteta’s tactical stubbornness - that I don’t see it happening next season. If Chelsea stabilise post-takeover and Utd just stop being a shit-show I don’t see Arsenal getting back in the top 4 next season, irrespective of how we kick on. And I’d expect Newcastle and Leicester to be better next season, and West Ham to still be half-decent. This year Arsenal only really had us for competition for 4th and they fucked it.

The Arsenal fans I know have resorted to just pretending they don’t care. Having said that, some of them are the most fair weather football fans I’ve ever met so it’s not that much of a leap!

Still, their silence is massively preferable to all the memes and goading that would come my way if roles were reversed.
