I watched the 7pm AFTV show last as it’s just bloody amusing right now. I generally consider Robbie pretty level headed and he was doing it with that geeky James guy. I appreciate they need to fill content. But the level of delusion is just insane. Basically their biggest argument for a top striker joining isn’t because we have CL football it’s because we have nobody else so you will play ? best bit is they aren’t even doing in a troll like way like DT or Troopz they are being deadly serious. Best bit was how every top club would be interested in Odegaard. And Robbie looked flabbergasted by someone suggesting they wouldn’t.

I’m assuming they’re trolling, but as an excuse to post this (more for how impressive Adriano’s left foot was)…

Bit odd by this Zak guy to start an Adriano-Saka comparison and then post Adriano highlights only... or is it tongue in cheek as there´s no Saka highlights available?

Sidenote - I completely forgot how good Adriano was, but there are also some absolute goalkeeper howlers in that video.

Saka is a good player but better than Adriano? Behave.

Zak is clearly trolling the comment he quoted by showing how brilliant Adriano was at his peak.

I love it how things work out sometimes. They had our original game cancelled because they thought they'd lose, only for the re-scheduled fixture to come along and bite them in the arsenal. Doesn't get better than that.

They mentioned this at one point on Fighting Cock. The best thing about this season isn’t that they bottled it at the end (although they did) or that we got CL over them (although we did). The best thing is that we now have - forever - the fact that they indisputably ran away from us because they were scared of what was going to happen. That’s precisely what they did. They appealed to the PL to not make them play us because they were scared of what was going to happen if they did. The fact that we then turned them over anyway is just the icing on the cake. We can forever remind them that they were too scared to play us and there’s NOTHING they can say to change or dispute that.

Absolutely. I read somewhere (maybe here) what our probable line-up would have been had they played us when they should have done originally, and when I saw it I thanked God we actually played when we finally did. I say that because from what I remember, our available players were nowhere near as strong as a team then, in January, as it was in May.

Like I said, funny how things turn out sometimes. (y)

I’ve watched the AFTV evening show last 2 nights and this James geeky guy is absolute gold cause he’s so serious it makes it even funnier. I mean he really believes the absolute garbage he’s talking. Completely convinced they will get Jesus and Tielemans. Completely dismissive why Jesus would consider going to any other club but the Arsenal. If they don’t get either of those the meltdown will be monumental.

Mate you can go further. If they had played us when they were meant to, they might have lost, but at the end of the season they would have had a week to prepare for Newcastle. Make sure you remind them they looked tired against Newcastle, and with that extra rest they could have had, you're sure they would have won. It's a beautiful thing.

I've heard a few people say their bottle-job of a performance at Newcastle came as a direct result of the absolute hammering we gave them only 4 days before. I'd love to believe that to be true. (y)

It certainly helped. They were mentally and physically broken going in to another hostile away fixture.
