Here's the rule:

Procedures - Infringements
The thrower may not touch the ball again until it has touched another player

Opponents may not be closer than 2 meters from the point at which the throw-in is taken.
to deal with these situations, the referees should warn any player within this distance before the throw-in is taken and caution the player if he fails to retreat to the correct distance. Play shall be restarted with a throw-in

A lot of empty armchairs at the Haemorrhoids tonight.

Full house by all accounts...

The Sanchez thing is odd. Why didn't the link tell him to move away? In all seriousness, Fuch's action was violent conduct.

That said, when opposition players stand so obviously close I don't know why we don't see more of this type of thing, it's an straight yellow for them encroaching.

Apparently it was the third time that Fuchs had tried to take that particular throw and that Sanchez had been stood too close. Fuchs was a bit lucky not to get a card, but we often see players trying to take quick free kicks booting the ball straight at an opposition player to get them booked.

Footage of this made the Aussie evening news :D after going on about how tough rugby players are and then the Brisbane goalie tearing his arm on a goal post (honestly, it was gross.. 26 stitches in the end), they have Sanchez faking being hit in the face.

What's most impressive about the Sanchez photo that he posted is that it's clearly the right side of his mouth, yet the ball hit him on the left shoulder. Even if it glanced against his face, it's the wrong side for it to cause that "abrasion".
More likely he did that when he clutched his face and went down in agony.
I so hope Dier or Wanyama hit him with a reducer on Sunday...

That was from a Huth tackle apparently.

Watched a few Arsenal Fan TV interviews last night.

They're quite confident after a huge run of 3 wins on the bounce against Boro, City after Extra Time and Leicester at home, whilst there were a few comments that we only managed to scrape a win against lowly Palace last night.

Seemingly they have forgotten that we've won 8 in a row and that Palace mauled them 3-0

It hit him on the right shoulder.
Pathetic nonetheless.

Loved the one guy that said they are going to smash us because they've got a flukey last minute own goal against Leicester at home and we beat Palace who "aren't all that" only to be reminded they bummed them... Dickhead

When did they change the rule? You used to be able to stand at the line in front of the thrower as long as you stood still.

Personally I'd just throw the ball normally and if in the follow through I happened to elbow the **** then so be it

i dont understand why anyone can think Fuchs should've been booked as well.
Its not his fault Sanchez is only a few feet away.
Its like booking a free kick taker if he blasts it into the wall and it hits someones face.

More like when a player kicks it into a player encroaching on a free-kick

Surely as long as Fuchs isn't taking a foul throw he has the right to throw it wherever he pleases.

Thankfully for the joy of the nation it was at Alexis Sanchez's already ugly mug.
