Niasse got a 2 match ban for the exact same thing earlier this season. Just because there is contact, doesn't mean it is a foul, thinking that is stupid. Exactly as Wenger said, if that is a foul there would be 10 penalties a game. Ayew would have gone down against us the other day and got one because Lloris' finger brushed his toe. If you go down clutching your shin like a fucking **** after getting the bottom of your foot tapped, you have dived, deceived the referee and conned your way into getting a penalty. It was simulation, not a penalty and he should be banned. He won't be though, because he plays for Chelsea, not Everton.

Here's what was said about the Niasse incident:

This guy’s comeback is one of the best I’ve seen in football. Great spirit, great character.

Chief Media Cheerleader is at it again. 6 games.

Wilshere said: Fair to say i enjoyed that! I told you on this team we fight till the end. Important we didn't give up and got the point. Thanks to all of the fans tonight, one of the best atmospheres I've experienced at the Emirates!

Even though he dived and should have been sent off. A lot of the replies are Spurs fans telling 'Crossy' he's a joke.

Been injured a lot. 5 starts in a row. Scored a goal. They should make a film. What a story

Like I said in the match thread, it was the sniper on the grassy knoll that brought him down.

Martin Keown on Jack Wilshere: "He is a superstar approaching the levels of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil but, crucially, he wants to play for Arsenal."

Hahahaaa

Is this all some PR campaign to drum up interest when Arsenal get rid of him?

Martin Keown also writes

"Now he has built up his fitness, confidence and passing repertoire, we are starting to see the assists, the goals and the hunger on a more consistent basis."

Really, Martin, really? Let's have a little bit of context.

Jack Wilshere has scored 8 Premier League goals in 157 appearances, which is the same number of goals as Victor Wanyama (in 125 appearances) and Danny Rose (in 112 appearances).

Not what I would call "on a more consistent basis". However, Martin also references the assists. So how many assists has Wilshere made in his 11 appearances so far this season? Five? Six? Seven?

Two. Which, incidentally, is the same number as Erik Lamela has made in less than a third of the playing time and, again, not exactly what I'd call "on a more consistent basis".

So strip the BS from Keown's statement and that just leaves a more consistent hunger. Which is probably just the munchies, knowing Jack.

Jack Wilshere is not the messiah. He's a very naughty boy who dives, smokes tabs and hides behind bins outside nightclubs when he's picked a fight with someone bigger than him.

Which is pretty much anyone.

Add into the equation is the fact that Arsenal are not exactly waving a new contract under his nose either.

Apparently he's very close to signing a new contract.

He's also very close to being injured again once he's signed his new five year deal.

His goal scoring record is awful. I always like to compare him to Dele Alli....

"Between 18 December 2016 and 21 January 2017, Alli scored eight goals in six league matches".
