I can’t wait to watch the impending train wreck. They are by far the least likely team in the top 6 with the ability to finish in the top 4. Their whole season hinges on their ability to beat ATM, Dortmund, Lazio and Leipzig. I don’t think they’re good enough to beat any of the above teams. If they get knocked out of the EL the meltdown will be epic.

I'm enjoying this situation immensely they have Chelsea again in the week.

I won't get too carried away at the moment until they are deeper in the mire but I'm also loving the meltdown of their fans
across the social media.

I haven't bothered or trolled anyone yet.

No need to - it is all brought down on themselves, referees won't want to handle their games soon.

They're still in a position to turn their club around

But they're slowly sinking deeper and deeper into the mire

The main thing that may save them is the inability of the clubs behind them to kick on and overtake them

I'm not laughing until following happen;

-They are ko'd out of the Carabao Cup
- They are knocked out of Europa (preferably semi finals)
- We finish 4th and above them
- Ozil and Sanchez walk for free

That scenario puts them in a very very precarious position. I doubt they'll get many season ticket renewals after that.

I'm not laughing until the summer transfer window shuts. They're still very rich.

They are indeed. However;

- They have to replace Ozil and Sanchez just to stand still.
- They have to repair that defence (Wenger can't do it do that's unlikely)
- They have to obtain a strong mentality (again Wenger is incapable)
- They have to attract players with no CL. And if Lemar did turn them down, I'd expect more to do so.
- Kroenke and the board seem to limit themselves to one big signing and they always come up short. Under that potential scenario I do not see him buying two to replace those leaving, another cb, a gk, a midfielder who has the right mentality and another attacking option to replace what they have lost with Cazorla.

Kroenke will believe that replacing Ozil and Sanchez is simply enough. What if those replacements are inferior?

I honestly see players choosing Arsenal as a (almost) last resort, because of the salary or because they want to use them as a stepping stone.

They have been so poorly run in the last few years it's hard to believe.

I know all that. I'll still hold off.

Unless Arsenal have a replacement lined up that's a ridiculous piece of business, if they get Mahrez in or someone like that then it's not bad I suppose.

Why are City getting him in now?

Because they can ?

I saw that twerp arsenal twitter bloke Mr DT tweet about an hour ago that it was done.

Personally I think it's Chinese Whispers but his followers ain't happy. Nice.

Just seems odd. They have the league sewn up. Can get him for a signing on fee in the summer.
