They looked completely rudderless today. They need major work imo, hopefully they lose patience with Emery before he gets things right.

If I was Emery I'd get rid of Aubemeyang, sell him to China if possible, while they can still get a big sum for him and bring in some players who suit his style more. Get Ozil off the books and start to bring in some prospects.

As you say, hopefully they don't give him free reign and they sack him before he can implement a complete change.

There are so many bad apples in that squad. Whoever sanctioned giving Ozil his massive contract must have been on meth.

They’re an ageing team as well- most of them are late 20s and early 30’s. Whether or not they get top 4 Emery will need another £100m+ to spend this summer or they risk falling further behind.
Ozil has been stealing a living there for years and on the contract he is on at present will be very difficult to shift - Woolwich might have to stomach an Ade type situation in paying a portion of his wages if they loan him out.
Emery won’t sleep well tonight and he has Napoli coming up...

I don't care how many goals he has, I'm shocked at how poor Aubameyang generally looks in a lot of matches. Doesn't look a world class striker at all to me.

Good win for Everton today
Thanks Gylfi and co.
But on another day Everton might have scored 5 or 6.
Both Gylfi and Richarlison missed 2 or 3 decent chances.

Agreed re Aubameyang - Lacazette is a massive prick, but he’s a far more rounded striker.

They have some decent players in the likes of Torreira and... Leno?

How the fuck are they a point behind us

Must have missed this, what happened?

The Guardian reported...
.
"A cynical foul by Shkodran Mustafi on Calvert-Lewin prompted an angry exchange between Silva and Emery on the sidelines. Mesut Özil, substituted by this stage, threw his jacket in the direction of the Everton manager and his staff. It was a rare – and pointless – show of aggression from Arsenal’s captain on the day and befitting of the team’s performance"

I’ve seen it now. Absolutely nothing in that  I don’t think anyone has ever been hurt by being hit with a coat. It’s disrespectful to do that but there’s nothing aggressive about it

True

Injuries, fatigue, no home stadium, etc, finally caught up with us

Hopefully we can win the majority of remaining matches and finish 8 or 9 points above them, by the end of the season (y)

Arsenal’s problem is getting another club that’s willing to pay Ozil’s wages.

It’s the same problem that United has with Sanchez.

The trouble is getting Ozil off the books will be almost impossible without arsenal still playing the vast majority of his wages still. He's supposedly on 350k/week and theres only a handful of clubs who can even contemplate paying that much for someone, and I can't see why any of them would even be remotely interested in Ozil.
