'Like all Arsenal supporters, he cannot see how silly it seems to those of us on the outside, this idea that having to watch some of the best players in the country play attractive football in a magnificent stadium, sure in the knowledge that your club’s financial and sporting future is assured for generations, is some sort of purgatory. The sense of entitlement, the tantrums every time the side concede a goal, the wild lurches from vainglorious overconfidence to wailing despair: Piers, like it or not, IS The Arsenal, certainly as the club exists now in the popular dialogue and public space.'

Great stuff.

Agree, which is precisely why the article is so good. Piers Morgan now embodies Arsenal Football Club. The man widely considered to be the biggest **** in Great Britain, despised presumably by even his own family, is acknowledged as Arsenal incarnate.

Triffic.

Article in the Guardian about a secret players meeting.

http://www.theguardian.com/football...ayers-crisis-meeting-hull-fa-cup-theo-walcott

Few points in here. Why did it have to be secret from Wenger? Is this the sign of a manager who has lost the dressing room? Walcott even says the following,

Walnut said:
He probably knows about it anyway – he’s got ears everywhere at the club

Odd. I know he is selling it to the paper as a positive and yesterday's result is "proof" it worked but it still seems quite odd to me.

I think this is both Wenger's strength and his weakness, he believes in his players, trusts them, and treats them with respect. The problem is that he's faithful to a fault, and persists with players - Mertesacker, Walnut, Ox, Ramsey, Gibbs etc etc - who plainly aren't good enough for a club of Arsenal's size.

Other than that this strikes me as typical Arsenal post victory back slapping. I'm assuming there are topless dressing room selfies doing the rounds as well.

They are generally a very unlikeable bunch. I have been thinking lately though that I would quite like it if we signed Oxlade-Chamberlain. Seems like a player that Poch could work his magic on and doesn't seem quite as ****ish as Theo.

Just saw Arsenal Fan TV was trending on Twitter so checked it out and they're all fighting each other after losing FA cup to Watford. Supposedly somebody knocked one of them out while he was being interviewed

I thought that was ty because I could see headphones but he looks a bit too big.

There's poison brewing in that club, I'll be so happy if they become embroiled in turmoil and angst because they don't get their s stupid st totteringhams day

Apparently there's a video of Watford fans pulling up in a car and asking the arsenal fans for directions to Wembley. Haha

I would say that Arsenal fans should console them selves by listening to some Elton John...but I don't think they'll get much comfort from that.
