See their main targets are Tielemans and Jesus, to me they’re perfectly suited to Arsenal, to me they are soft players, when all is going well they’ll be playing good and will be lapped up, but when theyre in a tough situation they’ll go under, similar to Ben White, ramsdale ect, decent players but have ‘soft underbellies’
I can definitely see it with Tielemans but I did a bit of research of Jesus when we were linked and he's the opposite according to Man City fans.
Most want him kept because not only is he a decent footballer, he doesn't hide even if having a mare, and he has a never say die attitude.

We had a fire alarm at work today and I bumped into a Arsenal fan mate I've not seen in age. In fact last time I saw him we were mid Jose and I told him that I was off football, barely watched a game and that when I had it was awful so was enjoying other pursuits.

So obviously... I kept up the pretense of still being off football and got him to tell me step by step what had happened over the last three months, because last time i looked "arsenal were like ten points ahead with a game in hand, or something" It was beautiful, I managed to keep a straight face (although other mate with us said he could see a glint in my eye).

It was like a live performance of @goughie1966 trawling through arsemania. If they ever turn that into a live action play I can certainly recommend.

Article says: What's more important: the longer-term rebuild or a short-term unanticipated push for Champions League qualification?

Reminder: Arteta has been there 3 years.
Yeah and yet it's presented like he's been there 3 months, particularly by the gooner pundits. It's very strange. Blinded by the initial fa cup win I guess. Take that away and I'm sure they'd be a lot more discontent.

Long may it continue though!

Best thing that Woolwich have going for them is their fantastic PR team.

"It's fine we'll get Top 4 in our own time. Waaaaaaaaaa"

Horse shit. He said in an interview a few months back that arsenal belong in the champions league and that’s where they will finish. He’s just making lame ass excuses for his failures. The guy is an absolute twat she I hate him so much for being an arrogant shit cheat.

Such a lot of justification ex post facto in that article. And WTF is all that nonsense about Arteta being able to work with the 'Pierre Emerick' character, but not with the 'Aubameyang'?

Seriously in danger of completely disappearing up their own arsenal.

The levels of copium from Arsenal fans, plus the bitterness is unreal since Sunday.

Arsenal fans properly going on the attack, trying to find any reason they can to mug us off, no trophies etc etc

They are utterly deluded. I'm not just saying it because he's Arsenal manager, but Arteta is an absolute cock. He just comes across so arrogant, but he's a clown. They are going nowhere under him. The fans have totally bought into the PR spin from the club that there is some grand plan. What grand plan? As someone else said on here, football doesn't work like that. You need to have a world class manager and world class players if you want to compete at the very top, and Arsenal have neither.

This idea that they are going to develop and grow their team together as one as all their young players develop and become elite like the class of 96 is utter delusion.

Their only good young players are Saka and Odegaard but they still largely flatter to deceive and if they went to a top club they'd be warming the bench, so they aren't that good. Arsenal were extremely lucky to get close to top 4 this season, they are nowhere near ready. They had no europe, and scraped so many games by single goals. Their defensive axis of Ramsdale, White and Gabriel was decent for the first half of the season but they are nowhere near CL level.

Thing is most of us can remember Sol Campbell, can remember lasagne, can remember them winning the league at the Lane. Some of us can probably remember them winning the double at ours.

But this is the first time we’ve really cost them something since 1991, Gazza, Wembley and all that. Any gooner under forty has never really experienced something like this.

The NLD, sure, we win some, they win some. You accept that. But this is different. This cost them a return to the CL and it’s now six seasons since they played in it. And the consequences for them, and for us, are potentially huge. They can see that.

It’s a knife in the heart and it must be absolutely devastating for the under-40s who’ve never experienced anything like this before and never expected to.

That Amazon doc is going to be delicious. I cannot wait to see their dressing room during the NLD

We beat them to CL in 2019 on the final day too don’t forget. They drew with Brighton needing a win and we drew with Everton needing a point.

That wasn't last day. They dropped points to Brighton the week before last day meaning they needed to beat Burnley and hope we lost to Everton with a huge GD swing to get 4th .

Sounds a lot similar to… this year? They didn’t even need a GD swing with a Spurs loss and win of their own…
