That wasn't last day. They dropped points to Brighton the week before last day meaning they needed to beat Burnley and hope we lost to Everton with a huge GD swing to get 4th .
We were also 10 points ahead of Arsenal with 12 games to go that season. In other words, we scraped by in the league and just about avoided a disaster rather than getting one over them.

Nothing like 2018/19 for me. They came to ours this time with fourth in their hands. A point would have been fine for them. And they imploded. They literally crumbled and self-destructed under the pressure. And off that result they went to Newcastle, who didn't need anything, and got blown away there too.

Yes, that Brighton game in 2019 was fun and the final game at home to Everton was a little bit edgy for us. But it was their own doing and we just stumbled over the line with an expected point on the last day.

This one, we fucking done them right at the end. When everyone knew what was at stake going into that game. A fixture they bottled in January and Sky Sports turned into a mid-May, Thursday night, fourth-place decider.

And we killed them. And it's beautiful.

He signed an extension at the beginning of this season when they couldn't sell him.... Another 2 years?

El- Ninny is hopeless. Every time I watch Sonny's third goal in the NLD I am amazed at how slow he is to move out and block i.e do his job. Its almost like he is wearing divers boots.

He's been there 6 seasons and only once appeared in over 50% of league games for them.

Well well well. I've never listened to Dunham, because people are always complaining about him and his anti-Spurs ramblings...so that's the first time, but it's actually Andy Townsend who's the prize knobhead in that clip. What an idiot and an apologist for the gooner scum.
“Spurs had half a season off and still finished above the gooners!”. Quality from Durham!

Don't the clubs get Editorial licence for the All of Nothing series? I'm sure I read that clubs could remove any content that showed them in a bad light and they didn't want to be aired. I'm not expecting an in depth series showing them messing up and missing their targets, I'm expecting a half hour special showing them deciding which kit to launch next.

Has any other club had as many kits as Arsenal this season? it's a crazy rip-off for whatever reason they release them.
I'd never feel sorry for their fans- but this would make me unhappy if we went down this route

I'm guessing there must be a degree of negotiation on the edit. While the Spurs one was full of fluff, I doubt Spurs were overjoyed with them showing Jose telling the players to be "intelligent ****s" and some of the other more candid moments that were peppered throughout.

I imagine Amazon have a deal whereby they show X number of happy "Benjamin White baby gender reveal/Rob Holding hair transplant success" stories in exchange for Arsenal allowing them to show Arteta saying some embarrassing shit. There's only so much dull-ness Amazon would accept.

Yes, however hard they try to tell themselves last season represented some sort of 'progress' as they finished 8th the season before, it's an inescapable fact that they had a half season start on us while we had that muppet Nuno in charge, and we STILL beat them to a CL place.

I think football fans often make the mistake of looking for consistency in an inconsistent world.

Sometimes competition at the top is strong, other seasons are a bit weak.

The top 2 were superb this season and Chelsea were reasonably solid. The others were poor or at best inconsistent.

Arsenal had a manager who had been building for several seasons, compared to the big changes at Spurs and Utd, plus they had no European football and went out early in the domestic cups.

This season was a big opportunity for them and they blew it.

Watching them play, I see no significant improvement.

I don't really care if the Amazon doc tries to put a positive spin on things.

Seeing them somehow try and spin Arsenal blowing 4th by getting decimated in the NLD and qualifying for Europa as a achievement will be entertainment in itself for me.

I'm surprised and delighted in equal measure seeing how their season finished like a wet fart that Arteta has managed to hold on to his job, but that might have much to do with his recent 3 year contract being signed.

winning 5-1 at home to end the season, artetas highest finish as manager i think? and the youngest team in the league, I'm sure they will say it was a step to far this time, but a positive season overall from where they've been, with bigger things to come as the kids mature etc etc.

and to be honest thats probably fair and true, the troubling reality for Arsenal though is that because of Newcastle, Man United and now ourselves with CL money and Keep Conte Calm money it makes it extremely difficult to match 5th place again, let alone better it .

...plus the fact that from next season, teams will be able to field FIVE substitutes, and many teams in the EPL have fairly small playing squads. I don't think their squad is particularly big, so they're going to have to bring in a clutch more quality players which is going to make a massive dent in their transfer kitty, and without any Champions League money it's going to be even harder to bring in the players of sufficient numbers and quality to get them challenging for a Champions League place next season.

Fuck 'em.
