Jack Wilshere has been appointed as Arsenal U18 head coach, following his retirement from professional football last week.

Wilshere graduated from the Arsenal academy and went on to make 197 appearances for the club between 2008 and 2018, winning the FA Cup twice. He announced his playing career had come to an end on Friday at the age of 30, just a day after ending his five-month stint at Danish club AGF.

I hope old Jack can teach the young Gunners how to take good care of their bodies. Some good tips on fitness and how to be in top shape ?

Can you even begin to imagine if Wilshere became their senior imagine. Just the thought this season of smacking them in U18 NLD is an absolute necessity now.

If ever there was an example of jobs for the boys it’s this one.

All they need to know is how to run away from games full of excuses. Yes even a pre-season friendly at a club who could probably do with the match revenue.

Cant tell if that’s happened because Arsenal are now quite badly run or a sign that they really don’t give a shit about anyone or anything else in football. That’s really poor from them.

My hunch is it’s a bit of both.

“Team news for our under 18’s game:
No new injury concerns for Arsenal U18’s as the coaching team have a fully fit squad to choose from - we say coaching squad as the only injury we do have is the same one from the last two months - Jack Wilshere, Manager, Hamstring”

Bit confused by there transfer business. Why are they going for attacking half players. When their fullbacks consist of: an injury prone tierney, tomiyasu, Tavares and cedric, and those last two are shite.

I’m not mad about it. But I haven’t really seen rumours/transfers other than the Jesus transfer that makes sense yet.

Not sure if posted elsewhere, but Arsemania's current poll for next year's league position. Will be interesting to watch as more and more vote. Most of my level headed Gunner fans don't think top 4 is going to happen this year. (yes, they exist but just don't make much noise since they are actually smart fellows)
