You can see Ramsdale and Xhaka are the leaders in that dressing room vocally, yet Odegaard was made captain? I don’t think he has said a word in 5 episodes.

Same with Saka / Martinelli, both very quiet. Weird squad but I think as @wspur pointed out, Arteta is the reason there are no senior leaders. Its almost like he still considers himself one of the “boys” and thats a big issue.

I actually thought Xhaka came across ok but you can see why he goes off the boil because he has no one to lead him and has taken that role himself. Thats the great thing with our team we seem to have a lot of leaders, I think it was second half on Saturday when Sessegnon went in for a challenge with KWP despite being on a yellow and Davies gestured towards him to keep it calm, just a quick gesture.

Just when you think Arteta might be ok you get a glimpse that he’s a highly strung nut job!

He’s clearly watched too many episodes of ‘the office’ and been on way too many corporate bonding/business/management/leadership bollox training courses

The one where they were all in a circle with their eyes closed rubbing their hands together before they all held hands, was an absolute beauty!

Hopefully Arteta’s managerial journey at the scum is far far better than the final destination

One area that Arsenal are absolutely dominating in this season is players out on loan category. For context, perennial Loan winners, Chelsea, only have 9 players out on loan ( so far) to Arsenal's 14 players. We'll never sing that

Out

- AC Monza, loan
Charlie Patino - Blackpool, loan
Folarin Balogun - Stade Reims, loan

In one of the episodes, Ramsdale's Dad shows up dressed as the shopkeeper from Mr. Benn.

I watched the latest three episodes yesterday and was confused as Aubameyang rolls up in a different car every time he comes to the training ground. But,
if you are earning 350K per week I guess you can afford it!
