Good post and good POV, @Misfit. Truly that would suck if you're letting the chances go by at work to nourish the relationship and she still wants to walk out on you.
Indeed. He was not best pleased. Still, he's happier now than he has been in years in retrospect. Living for himself which he missed out on a little bit when he was younger. Things at work have perked up as well as the head honcho always liked his work and now he is available 7 days. He's actually waiting on the mother of all promotions.Could get to live in Thailand for a year or so as he heads up their soon to be opened regional offices there.

But it's still shit really as he did really love her and it's not like she's the devil or anything but yeesh. I'd have been seething personally. Make your frigging mind up, love! Still, all of us are only human and at least she was honest with him? I suppose. nah, he's a better man than I.

And they didn't have any children which made things far less difficult. Sorry to hear your childhood was interrupted by the machinations of adult failings. :(

Bit weird brah.

It's just easier. Me and the missus have 2 kids and work folk and customers constantly ask the me how the wife is so after a few "oh we arent married" and the disapproving looks it's just easier to go with the flow.

Although I'm getting married on Saturday so they will put a stop to that.

I refer to Mo as the old man. Neither of us have ever been married; he's asked a few times and I've never wanted to, never seen the need. Almost 42 years together. Who needs a bit of paper and an expensive fancy dress party? Marriage, like religion, is a human construct.

If two people don't want to be together then it's best for everybody concerned if they don't. I was a kid in a marriage that stayed together "for the kids". It was not a happy childhood.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has split from his wife, Annie, according to reports.

The 65-year-old has filed papers in his hometown of Strasbourg, France, according to the Daily Mirror, with the couple reported to have agreed a financial package on how to divide their assests.

The papers show that the pair, who married in 2010 after a long time relationship, have not been together since June of this year.

Wenger has an 18-year-old daughter with Annie, 59, but there has been long speculation about the state of the marriage, with the couple not pictured together since 2013.

The Frenchman has previously admitted that the pressure of his job has put pressure on his relationship.

The "separe du corps" that has been signed is not a full divorce but a legal separation.

"Ten years ago I said to my wife [Annie], 'Five more years and that’s all', and I am still here," Wenger said in 2008.

"It is difficult to find time to see them but there are jobs [which are worse]. You have guys who leave for work on Monday and come back on Friday.

"In my job I travel, but the problem is not so much the quantity of time you spend with your family, it is the quality.

A spokesman for Arsenal told the Mirror: "He is an employee and we do not talk about employees’ personal issues."

The man clearly loves the sport and the team he manages, to the point he has lost his wife and probably some closeness with his daughter. He will probably retire and regret what he has lost at some point.
These Arsenal fans who want him out need to realise and think about what the man has sacrificed for the club.

Wenger's only child is only 18? He left it a little late to have kids you'd have to say. A very old and tired father she's had.

Tell me about it! Obviously we booked the date along time ago.

I'm also reliably informed that there is some eggchasing taking place in the evening that some folk are quite disappointed at the prospect of missing.

Think this has been in the making for some time. Won't come as a shock to the family.

Arsen has a nice new playmate. And the wife is gonna get a big pay off and might get a hot young thing too. Heck even the daughter gonna be set for life.

Doesn't bother me one bit.

They're prob due to the original message finishing with a sarcastic comment and laughter (can't remember what it was now but happily it looks like OP has removed it with an edit)

Fortunately most of the replies haven't lowered themselves to the level of knuckle dragging gooners

His wife has said that despite having millions in the bank he insisted they could only shop at Lidl and Poundland.

OK, I made that up.

So you're going to have two wives now? Brave man!

Congratulations GB, hope it all goes well for you.

no i edited it, and it was only joke didnt realise people love wenger so much yes i knw he is a nice bloke but still he hates spurs and spurs fans and has showed that over the years and i only put a LOL didnt say anything, maybe yes it is a shame ofc but i knew the reason they split up is due to wengers obsession with football and he was being selfish and putting football first

He's such a bad loser though and is hardly every gracious in defeat, i'm not surprised that's affected his personal relationships.

I can't fault him for that to be honest, you could say the same about Jose and Sir Alex, and no matter how much all three of them boil our piss at times, there's no football club in the land who wouldn't leap at the chance of being managed by someone with that hunger, tenacity, talent and track record.

I imagine Wenger is a probably a pretty decent bloke, shame if this is true.
