I cannot believe how often we have been offside. Are we playing the ball too late or are the attackers going too early? Who cares, it just shows the lack of chemistry in the team.

Yep I’m done, I’ve got about a thousand jobs to do in the garden and it’s a beautiful day.

With them as high as this the key has to be high and wide. This shape isn't going to break this high line trying to slide things down the middle. Especially with how poor Richarlison and Son have been.

Skipp and Hojbjerg really are awful.

They are literally doing nothing apart from hiding.

We miss Bentancur so much.
Feel for Skipp.

He's a good component in a 3 man midfield.

But he's not a player you turn to to control a midfield.

Hojbjerg is simply a clogger

I really do not get this obsession that we have with playing the ball across our back line over and over again. We just play ourselves into pressure and give the ball away 25yds out.

There are many good female commentators and pundits, but Carney isn't among them, sadly. She just trots out platitudes and clichés.
Ive never heard a female commentator with any charisma. It's all a bit try too hard. The knowledge is there but the application is severely lacking. Well with those that i've heard up to now at least. Anyway back on thread.

It sounds like Villa are totally dominating. Mason needs to change things before it is too late.
It’s not quite as bad as that. We are trying to break their high line and getting caught offside again and again.

Can someone tell me why Mason has dropped Perisic? He might not be great but he was starting to offer more in the attacking third and was one of our better performers in recent weeks. Now we’ve gone back to Davies we have lost all attacking impetus down the left.

Mason won't do it - but I would bring on Sarr and Bissouma at half-time. Fresh energy, and a bit more creativeness and technical ability.
We won't, and Hojbjerg and Skipp will start again next week with the same predictable results. I simply don't understand why we don't use the squad properly. It's incomprehensible.

Why do so many of our managers refuse to see our two player midfield being overrun?
It's who the two men in midfield are. Dembele and wanyama would be fine in this. Hojbjerg is absolute prime dog turd. The runny type you struggle to pick up.

No positional sense, no passing ability and no dynamism. Just a total clogger sand bringing the rest down with him.
