i personally think the Lane,especially on a night game,is almost unrivaled for atmosphere.
everyone goes on about the scousers and the european nghts at anfield,but if you take out their 'walk alone' poem as the teams take the pitch,then its not what everyone makes out.
WHL ..is magical, and tonight the swiss aint gonna know whats hit them.

As a yank who's never had the chance to make a trip across the pond, I'm counting on you local Yids to turn WHL into a goddamn fortress of support and back our side no matter what! If the unthinkable happens and we go a goal down, THAT'S when they need you the most - don't turn your backs on them or let up with your support!

Pitches these days tend to withstand every rain, it'll be a slick surface, so we should we be ok?
Only worry is for goalkeepers I suppose, ball to be fizzing off the surface. We should pummel in some long-ish range shots early doors to test their keeper.

Was tonight's Champions League play-off, second leg against Young Boys at the Lane the biggest game of his career?
"It's massive, the biggest game I've been involved in, definitely," said Michael, who recently earned his first England cap and captained the team in Bern last week and at Stoke on Saturday.
"It was a huge game over in Switzerland, but this is even bigger."
We trailed 3-0 after just 28 minutes of that first leg at the Stade de Suisse.
Thankfully goals from Sebastien Bassong and Roman Pavlyuchenko rescued us and gave the overall tie a completely different look at 3-2.
"It's all or nothing, really," added Michael. "We've had some big games of late but the reward if we win this game is to go into the group stages of the Champions League and that's where we all want to be.
"We put so much effort into finishing fourth last season and we don't want to blow it now. We're so close.
"We're at White Hart Lane, the fans will be right behind us, as always, and European nights are always special. This could be something else though.
"There's not much more I can say. It's up to us to go out there, play as well as we know we can and try to win it."
