Cheers mate, BG just posted the same in the summer transfer thread.

Bear in mind it's the same source as Ade and Kaboul's apparent expiries, but the high profile ones are all there - Khedira, Konoplyanka, Glenn Johnson etc.

Milner & Ings, sign 'em up.

Alves would be great, would benefit Yedlin to have someone like that around, but we'd then have three RB's wanting a game so, unless Walker leaves, don't see us going there.

Alves wouldn't come to us in a million years, this can't have been a serious suggestion

Milner and Ings would save us about £25m.

Would we have to give Burnley compensation?

Who decides how much and what's it based on?

Thankyouplease.

It's decided by a number of rules, controlled by FIFA but designated to the individual FA.

From the FIFA manual (article 4):

1. In order to calculate the compensation due for training and education costs, associations are instructed to divide their clubs into a maximum of four categories in accordance with the clubs’ financial investment in training players. The training costs are set for each category and correspond to the amount needed to train one player for one year multiplied by an average “player factor”, which is the ratio of players who need to be trained to produce one professional player.

2. The training costs, which are established on a confederation basis for each category of club, as well as the categorisation of clubs for each association, are published on the FIFA website (www.FIFA.com). They are updated at the end of every calendar year.

There are some really good players on that list that could make some difference to our squad but most will probably re sign with their current teams. It is amazing how some of these teams let their contract get to this point after they have paid so much for them!

Could build a very good team from that list..

Would love Milner, would be great for us I think.

Always liked gourcoff when he was younger, but seems he doesn't travel well, anyone know how he's done the last few seasons?

Milner will stay up North. We had a chance to take him from Leeds Utd at the beginning of his career but he opted to stay up North.
