Some very unsympathetic posts about Ade here, he's had one great season and one poor season. Why withdraw support and mug him off just for that bad season? He has show his ability in his first season. I saw a great interview with him recently where he said he would fight to get into the team.

His brother has died not long ago, the dizziness could be very well brought on by the stress of losing his brother. Mental health is just as important as physical health.

There are still some fans who can not get past the fact he once played for the Arse. Stupid in my eyes.

We don't have a manager either if you want to get pedantic about it.

I see why you would think I was being pedantic. But I was questionning whether that was the term used by avb, after he correctly referred to it as the development squad previuosly. With that in mind I qas wondering whether this was the journo paraphrasing or misquoting mischievously. As it happens avb did say it but was just repeating back the way it was worded by the person questionning him

So it was more to question the initial tweet but couldnt be arsed to explain myself cos I fucking bored myself writing this...

Not me, i couldn't give a monkeys who he has played for. And the fact(imo) he was largely about as much use as a chocolate fireguard last season has nothing to do with he once played for Arsenal.

Maybe not you, but they are a few.

Allegedly Mancini wants him in January, which considering the two were not exactly best of pals at city makes me question whether this carries any substance..

I'd ask all the people criticising him and questioning his commitment and effort whether, if it were a different player, say Michael Dawson for example, who had been missing through a family crisis would the fans be on his back? I think a lot of this unfair judgement from "fans" is based on Adebayor's reputation as much as anything else. If the situation is truly as we have been led to believe by the club and the player and it is to do with a family bereavement then I think as fans all we should be doing is showing the player our full support.

But the problem is this int just about Ade missing the start of the season, its about everything that has happened since he has been at the club, and what has happened at past clubs as well.

I don't have a problem, and im glad the club is willing to give players time off if they need it

If Dawson had a history of falling out with managers, being un-fit and turning up late then i am sure we would have plenty of people on here saying the same thing.

The problem is Dawson hasnt. He has been a top professional even if we have debates on here on if he is good enough or not.

If Ade wants the respect from the fans it will have to be earned. Just like every other player does (or doesn't)

Its good to see Ade back, and the couple of tweets from Ade it does sound much more possessive, but he has a long way back.

He now has to get his head down and work hard during training to even get a game. Lets hope he has the drive to fight for a place and see if he can become the first choice striker he says he wants to be

Brilliant. It's incredible to think that we're doing this well and we still have Adebayor, Lennon and Capoue to come back.

If his contract is up for renewal (18 MONTHS OR SO) or if he is the main man he will be good, otherwise forget it.
We took a gamble and lost.
Gifted talent that threw it away.
Sorry were paying this guy a lot and he couldnt give a toss.
Hopefully he will turn up and start playing well, THEN WE CAN GET RID IN JANUARY.

Remember his peno against Basel? Remember his reaction? Remember your reaction?
Sometimes last season it was like he was trying to miss. I know he had a decent finish to the season but his attitude stinks and should never play for the first team again.

Poor guy is an enigma, but not a Gazza type who endears himself to supporters. Obviously has things in his life that he needs to contend with, and if I was his manager I would be encouraging him to give the game up.
