He can't complain about Levy after being backed with 100 million in signings in the summer. There's plenty to be upset at Levy over but AVB's demise was his own doing entirely imo.

Levy sold Bale after telling Villas-Boas he wouldn't so he wasn't backed at all

The incoming signings was just spending the Bale money and half of them haven't worked out

Villas-Boas not to blame for that

Unsurprisingly i agree with him about the club and Levy. The bald one talks a good game but i wouldnt trust him as far as i could throw him.

Dont agree with talking about past clubs though, dislike it from every manager that does it. which is most of them.

He is spot on, Levy might talk a good long term plan ( think he is on his 5th in 12 years) but he has less patience than the typical fan on here

AVB royally fucked up cummilating in an eyewatering 0-5 defeat at home to one of our main rivals.

Long term project my ass. Give it a rest Andre please.

Rubbish pure and simple. If we were now sitting 8th or 10th in the league way off 4th the majority of you, and definitely the Levy naysayers on here, would have been baying for AVB's head.

So dont give me the long term bull - Levy did the right thing.

Depends how you look at long term. This is one of the most important seasons for us long term. We want to start building the new stadium this year and for that we need sponsors that will put in a lot of money. Under AVB we were deteriorating and lost 5-0 at home. A game which we had invited the potential sponsors to attend.
Just because you have long term plans doesn't mean that you don't make changes when things are going wrong. Or do you think we should have stuck with Ramos?

The main thing I had credited AVB for was the class he showed in refraining from bad mouthing the club and making excuses for his poor performances that lead to his sacking - I suppose that can be scratched now. No reason whatsoever for these quotes he was a better man with more dignity when he maintained his silence on the matter

Still good luck to him at his next job - go an prove us worn with your success instead of pointless petty comments after the event

This is the 2nd time he's messed up managing a big club, there has to be a time where he accepts responsibility for his actions and stop putting the blame on others.

I'm sure Levy is a nightmare to work with but I've never known him to back a manager as much as Andre so he should have really considered himself lucky.

At the end of the day Andre would still be in a job if he wasn't so stubborn, can't blame anyone but himself for that.

This post articulates my opinion of AVB perfectly

Bloody hell! I did not know that.

I'm surprised AVB was not just thrown in a skip out the back after the game, then.

Usual hard to understand stuff then!

I think his problem is that he never understood what our project actually was and thought we'd go out and spend fortunes on whoever he fancied, yet he's never been involved with transfers anywhere he's been! He really should go and work for PSG or something then he can get his money-no-object players. It's clear to me that his self-belief/arrogance is what holds him back from succeeding; see Carlo Ancelotti if you want an example of a man who can control a large club without ego.

I liked him but he's his own worst enemy
I prefer Sherwood's 'bollocks to projects, it's about winning games' attitude.

It was in a letter from the supporters trust, to a poster on Skyscraper City (new stadium thread).

No matter what you think of AVB, I'd say that boardroom leaks to the press (after the City defeat) to apply further pressure to the team and players in a difficult time, says very much about lack of maturity and leadership abilities among the top brass at the club.
