I disagree. Substituting Defoe was the right move - he offers absolutely nothing when he isn't scoring. The mistake was starting with him in the first place - then everyone would have been happy when we brought him on as an impact sub and could sing their little Jermaine Defoe, He's a Yiddo song

I would start with Ade myself too, the point i was making rather badly was we needed both on after we went a goal down, the order was not specified, just stated we needed both on the pitch..

We won't be when we're spanked by City and Arse.

Levy has is as much to blame and in short where wasting our time arguing with this little dwarf in charge.

I hear Steve Kean is available for the post - would that be to your liking sir?

People can cling on to the 4th/5th in the league but if we continue to play as we done in the opening quarter of the season we won't be anywhere near top 4 come January.

Arse are having their worst start in 50 years yet I swear when I watch them they look an infinitely better team than we do. either our form has to pick up fast or things will get ugly very quickly.

A stupid, stupid thread. Then I saw the username and thought actually I'm not surprised.

Im not going to argue that he is making some decisions I plain dont agree with but he has been hamstrung by our transfer dealings this summer and he needs time. We wont get anywhere sacking a manager every three months.

Things aren't going well. Levy fucked us over big time this summer. Not by sacking Redknapp (correct decision) or by appointing AVB (a dubious decision but who else was there, Rodgers?), but by buying a mixed bag of bargain basement pish in the transfer window.

Clint & Siggy are a joke in poor taste and I'm sick of the sight of both of them already.

Early days but I agree, the signs aren't encouraging from these two although at least Sigurdsson has age on his side to improve although this is probably more hope than expectation.

But what the likes of Graysonti fails to address is what else can AVB do with the players available at his disposal?!

So it's your mate Levys fault?

Great window (to add to Jans) which I criticised and you said was good.

You know f all imo.

He can drop them mate. Stick Ade and Falque in. Fuck, stick Carrol in, Pritchard, Ceballos. Just get those two away from the first team asap.

Haven't seen anything from AVB at Chelsea or here to suggest he's a great manager. He talks a good game but only time will tell if he's worth the hype.

You all know my opinion on Levy's management style. He took some massive risks this summer and it will make or break him.

Swapping VDV for Demsey is one of the oddest decisions ive seen in football.

Important to get Ade into the team. He held it all together last season.

The only player AVB wanted but didnt get was Moutinho. Would he have really made the difference when the other 9 outfield players out there couldn't give a monkey's?

He wanted Lloris and Ade but hardly ever plays them.

I've called for Ade and Falque in so you're preaching to the converted mate but unfortunately, you have, in my opinion, a majority who clamour for 442, little and large up front with two wingers and Huddlestone the pass master in the centre - they don't believe in our system and they certainly don't believe in our manager who has been served almighty shit sandwich with injuries and poor transfer dealings.

Do you honestly think they are the first players to not massively impress after 10 games. I seem to remember plenty of members of this board saying the same about Modric, and BAE (shhhhh, BC, not now ;)), Kaboul, and on and on and ariston  Contrarilywise, I also remember claims that Chamakh was going to be the greatest player to ver put on boot, based on his first 4 or so games, and how the Goons got him for nothing and we should have got him <ROFL>

Please, goode folke of SC, get some perspective and give players some time, eh. Sigurdsson is only 22 and has come into a new club in a transition period.

I said on September 1st that we had made some decent signings this summer but we had left a massive hole and some major deficiencies in our squad by not replacing Modric or VDV and that we may struggle for ideas... and so its being proven. Of course Levy is at fault for this, whilst I have defended him before yes I admit he has ballsed up this summer.

Every game we lose though Graysonti, it seems though you are on here calling for someone to be sacked. AVB, Levy... the tealady, its the same old shit. If we sacked a manager now what would that achieve? Who would want to join us if they thought there was a danger they would be turfed out after three months if everything wasnt perfect?

I wanted to stay with Arry. Do I like him personally? Not really, but he was delivering.

Anyway, I think the main prob is Levy and that's about it. A change in manager won't change this.

We are in a permanent loop now and it's pointless arguing or indeed who the manager is.

Have a good evening :)

Siggy I can give a pass to (which is more than he can do atm! boom-tish). Clint on the other hand is just plain bad. I'm sorry but he stinks the place out.

The players who you mentioned above would have likely split opinion. Mod, classy but lightweight, won't make it in the Prem etc. Kaboul all the tools but no brain. BAE is the new Cole, or is just a poor mans Cole etc etc.

The difference is they all had redeeming features to their game (not to mention they were Prem virgins). It was just a question of whether their natural talent would shine through or whether they'd have the brains to adapt.

Clint, so far as I can see, has no such redeeming features to his game. He's just below par. Not top 4 class. Not even top 6 class. And he's no nipper, he's 29, and he's a seasoned Prem vet. He has no good excuse for being so bad. He's just (relative) pish.
