Has anyone read this book. Great read! It proves one thing.... This run is no fluke!
His life story is really made for the silver screen!

It is a biography and anyone who read it, specifically the areas around preferred playing style would be bewildered by how we set out each week. I am assuming he will eventually implement the style he prefers eventually, getting Moutinho would have probably done that.

However, it really does show how much of a nice guy he is and all the little things he does around the club make the difference from taking the players out for a meal every week to giving them all his number and treating them as equals. I think the fact Bale run to AVB and not the crowd vs West Ham after THAT goal says it all.

That piece that was posted in a thread here the other day says he is very private and that the biography is unauthorised. Not much more reliable than a tabloid piece if it doesn't have the subject's cooperation .

I started a thread somewhere else about this Special Too book.

Written by two well respected Portuguese journos.

I read it on my summer hols just after he became manager. I've read both of Barclay's books on Mourinho and I found this just as informative and well written.

I had a feeling that AVB and Spurs were a match made in heaven and when I read this, it just confirmed it all for me.

Well worth a read.

Not a fan of autobiographies at all, but I would love to read AVB's. The bobby robson stuff is worth it alone, but then there is his family history, perculiar for a football man, and his use of stats is another dimension ;)

I read somewhere a day or so ago that he likes to see players celebrating together and that when the players threw their shirts into the crowd after winning at Southampton he picked up the bill.

My first thoughts were what a load of testes, if the players swap shirt/throw them into the crowd does that mean they have to pay for them? Can't do can it? Then I thought Levy. So it's just us then............Whatever, IF it is true, just goes to show how he sees to the little things.

Ye they do. Ive been told that Spurs players pay retail for their shirts so like 60quid and have to pay foreach one they give away. And apparently Sandro gives away 2 shirts a game haha
