No such thing as retirement in a Spurs january transfer window...
...ask Ryan and Louis.
I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about it...........

Scott sinclair? City dont want him, he wont be a world beater but its a realistic backup to bale / lennon
Man city need him to fulfill the home grown player rota. It's the only reason they signed him.
This is the area we most need to be addressingPorto did well getting money for Witsel, seeing as he was sold by Benfica...lol
On a serious note, all Porto players are for sale, for the right price. They would operate at a loss if they didn't create revenue through sales, as they pay high wages, and the TV rights in Portugal are chicken feed. They will have also pinpointed about 5 South Americans to fill each position in the squad with their top notch scouting system.
And lose him for nothing when they get knocked out of the CL and he runs down his contract?! They wont win and they know it, they are just posturing so that they can get as much as possible for him.
(I hope)
In terms of South America Porto have a massive advantage as Brazilians don't need a work permit. This is the area we most need to be addressing
We had success bringing in players like Bale, Modric and Berbatov and more recently with Sandro, where our scouting networks have brought in a player before they are on the radar of the fish bigger than us
We should be looking to emulate the success the likes of Porto have when bringing in players who will become top players for them, not trying to attract them once they have established themselves to a point where we will have to compete with the likes of Man CIty and Chelsea to sign them.
If Adebayor goes to the African Nations Cup then a new striker, even on loan is essential. Drogba would be good!
It will be a player of great dimension
And tremendous qualities.
