Fucking hell- he's doing well in the Russian league with a very very good squad- how incredibly amazing.

Why do people seem to forget how shit we were under him?

It defies belief.

We are a lot better off now are we not.

Not really- I think we are better attacking-wise but defensively, we are as bad if not worse.

They are just as shit as each other.

Can not agree with that at all at least under AVB we had some structure, now under Sherwood we are a mess. I would imagine when they come to retire AVB will have proved himself far more then Sherwood will.

Maybe because not everyone thought we were so shit under him as you do. Some of us actually feel that, while it wasn't pretty, we at least were developing the foundations of an actual team back then. Some of us could see that it would take time to get us playing the kind of football we were craving for and were willing to show as much patience as needed, instead of, you know, sacking the head coach in such a knee jerking way as we ended up doing (which, as predicted by many of us, leaded us absolutely nowhere but backwards).

Define 'shit' - was that the top EPL finish last season, the turning Bale into a £80m player or was it just that you had no patience for him gelling 7 new players? Did you expected champagne football and for us to challenge for the title.....now that defies belief

I remember when people were saying AVB was made to look good by Hulk and Falcao.

Before he came to Zenti, Hulk was dreadful and as for Falcao, Where has he gone and he hasn't been pulling up tree's in the French league.

Exactly. He did well at Porto with the same circumstances. It's just not the same as the PL

There needs to be a rating that says I agree more than just "agree". This post is completely correct. I was getting frustrated with the high line, and with the lack of goals, but I loved the pressing of the oposition, the tempo of our team when we didn't have the ball. We were looking like we had tactics, that we wee pulling in the same direction, now it looks almost random.

We have more points per game and scored more goals per game this season under Sherwood than under Villas-Boas with the same players, that is a fact

Villas-Boas had Bale last season

And it looks like we may finish lower then we have for a while, we are a rabble.

We aren't a rabble, are we. We may lack the rigidness and compactness we had under AVB but we now have more attacking intent and directness. I don't think Sherwood is the answer but I don't think AVB was either.

Well i have been at the matches under Sherwood and yes we are a rabble, there is no plan, no structure and its amazing that we have got some results that we have.

What plan are we talking about? We don't have the players to play the system what AVB wanted us to play.

The players under Sherwood are all over the place, do not take my word for it ask those that go and watch every week. We have Kaboul running down the wing, we have Rose everywhere except LB, the manager is shouting every 5 minutes " close them" , " get stuck in", " push up". The fact that we have been winning games is more down to good players then it is to Sherwood.

As i have said we are a rabble and if you ask the supporters that travel up and down the country most will agree.

That ppg is 0.2 per game. If ManU win their game in hand we will be in the same position 7th. We were 4 points from 4th and 8 from 1st. We are now 7 from 4th and 17 from 1st.

We are scoring more and conceding more. All we've done effectively is swap some defensive solidity for some attacking productivity and are accruing points at an almost identical rate.

That's not progress, it's robbing peter to pay paul.
