Random story but the cabbie i just had from Woodford station found out i was a yid and told me he drives Assou-Ekotto around everywhere.

Said he was a lovely bloke, english isn't great, loves chinese food (egg fried rice), he said he makes him order the food because he is embarresed about his english.

He lives on repton park and makes regular trips to Kings Cross (to and from paris on the eurostar), his mates come over alot as does his girlfriend. Apparently he has no friends here (no one in the squad), he gets lonely, apprently took the cabbie to 4-4 chel vs liv game with his agent.

Asked him if he knew anything of his happiness, said he really enjoys playing for the clubs and likes the fans etc doesnt think the trips to paris are too much effort.

Cabbie seemed genuine although he was a gooner, sorry for bad spelling, grammer etc but im pissed!!!!!!!!

Even the way Ekotto goes around on the pitch, he looks like he likes to keep himself to himself. He's turning in to a quality, consistent full-back. I'll personally be extremely disappointed if he leaves/Harry buys another mediocre replacement in the summer.

I drive my own car often. I also catch cabs often. It is possible to do both!

I'm suprised how coherent that message was, given how pissed i was.

As i said the cabbie seemed genuine enough, and as a gooner could have made up alot of crap about him being unhappy and wanting a move home, but he said he loves playing for spurs and is a lovely bloke. i ended up feeling sorry for BAE and told the cabbie to drive him round for a game of pro evo if he ever gets bored, ill supply the egg fried rice.

I cant believe how many times I hear that we have a supposed left back problem, its almost ridiculous! As i mentioned in my original post the cabbie said he went with him and his agent to the chel vs liv 4-4, apparently a few of the liv fans recognised him and asked for a photo etc.... i'd expect the liverpool away fans to be more knewledgable than the new chelsea fans.
