Perhaps we have a blinkered view of our players as a lot of them are not really highly rated by other football watchers/fans!

I've heard lots of people singing BAE's praises - even a bunch of Everton fans in the pub.

Football watchers who don't support the top 4 rate our players

Benny has been in great form. His defensive and attacking play has been very impressive and improved a lot. The left back position is sorted

problem is he can only have 1 year left on his contract. Could be off to a top team in France this summer if the clun cannot agree on a new contract

Bloody hell, no wonder he tells everyone he has no mates!

I like to believe that Benoit not only hates football, but hates England aswell. It makes his performances even more amazing.

Harry see's the light!! I think BAE has been outstanding and deserves all the praise from his manager and fans

Harry Redknapp has praised the 'outstanding' form of Tottenham left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto this season.
The 25-year-old initially struggled to establish himself as a regular in the Spurs side after moving to White Hart Lane from Lens in 2006.
The likes of Lee Young-pyo, Gareth Bale and Gilberto have all had opportunities to make the position their own but Assou-Ekotto has now pushed himself to the front of the pecking order.
He has been one of the club's most consistent performers since Redknapp took charge in October and the manager has been delighted with his progress.
"He has done very well," said Redknapp, who has been linked with a move for Porto full-back Aly Cissokho.
"I think he has been injured before but I have been very impressed with him this season as he has been in great form. He has looked an outstanding left-back."

i spent a year studying in paris, but came back and forth to london. Eurostar is much faster on the whole, especially as your going from center of town to center of town. Since the fires though, its dramatically hiked its prices and its journey length.

I live in belgium, study in london, trust me - its not quicker.

The actual flight might be quicker than the train journey, but once you add on the time getting to and from (not to mention through) airports at either end it's a no-no—and I make 4-5 trips a year. Besides, if BAE's nipping off to see family and friends in Arras he'll be going to Lille, and it takes about the same time to get there from St. Pancras as it does to get to Cambridge from Liverpool Street.
