Just let him wander around doing whatever he wants... He really is that good.

This works for me, last night he was everywhere, one minute the left, then right, then in the middle, up front etc

Just let him roam about, that will confuse the hell out of our opponents :grin:

He is the complete footballer. Wonder how good he would be as a goalie?

The one problem with that is you would receive an instant transfer request from Defoe and any other first team strikers in the squad, which might disrupt our unity a bit.

Interesting shout, would be very fluid and like Barcelona play. With all 4 interchanging and moving about. Wouldn't be against it, but would much rather we have a shiny new striker to play by then :grin:

Why would we change anything at the moment? Buy a pacey winger who also is going to understand he won't play every week, Holiett, and maybe a back up striker, but I don't even think we need one as bad as we need a backup winger with some pace who can keep us playing in our current style.

I'm sure Defoe and Pav would be livid, but I can't see either of them being that successful up front on their own. At least Bale has strength and pace, as well as natural finishing ability.

Bale's not looked the player he can be while having this freedom of the middle and it leaves our left side empty, Benny can't do all the work. So sorry, it doesn't wash with me

My worry is that

1. He Wouldnt see enough of the ball to be effective
2. He is most threatening when running at defenders from deep into space
3. He wouldnt be able to hold up the ball or provide link up to midfielders

It will be interesting to see if Harry provides a canny tactical solution or if its a straight swap with Ade for Defoe.

Maybe Harry will realise that crosses into the box are futile and bring bale in more centrally anyway.

I personally don't see why we can't keep it on the ground, I think a front 6 of Parker, Sandro, Modric, Bale, Lennon and VdV would absolutely destroy City.
