Bale Clarification

Is anybody else concerned about how Harry Redknapp has changed they were he talks about Bale in interviews. He’s gone from saying “He’s going nowhere” “We not going to sell him” to “I let the chairman deal with transfers and contracts”. He used to speak with such definitive clarification that Bale would be at Tottenham for years, but over the past week I’ve been really worried that something behind the scenes is going on and they are thinking about selling him. Anybody else noticed this?

nah, not too worried, Redknapp never shows consitency in interviews, and at the end of the day, it would be Levy's decision.

If anything Redknapp is probably just fed up of all the questions.

Watch the todays interview on Sky Sports News. He's talking like he knows Bale may be on his way out.

I dont believe a word Harry says in any interviews. Whether they are good or bad for us. He has to do so many interviews he probably loses track of what he's said, what he's supposed to say and what he's not.

All he said was that Levy deals with that stuff, and he would think it would take crazy money if it ever indeed happened.

Nothing wrong with that IMO, chill.

Nothing in it IMO, Harry always says that Levy handles everything. Apparently it was Levy who done the VdV deal and Harry only new about it with an hour to go. Bale won't be going anywhere in the near future IMO.

I'm just paranoid I guess. If Bale does leave one day I just hope it's not to Man Utd - I hate being a feeder club for them.

agree with this. Gets fed up with a question so pushes it onto the chairman who doesn't do interviews so they cant bug him with repetitive questions.

If we can keep him for another 2-3 years then his value will sky rocket even more. Redknapp won't want Levy to sell him.

1) it would jeopardize our chances of winning the champions league (far fetched but we can beat any team on our day)

2) jeopardize our chances of finishing 4th

We may need to sell in a couple of years to help fund the new stadium. By then, his price may have sky rocketed up to 80m.

Bale has already said he's learning new stuff everyday, he's guaranteed first team football, we are an ever improving side. It makes sense to stay at the moment.

I think the majority of Spurs fans would not begrudge him a move to Barca or Real Madrid, but be very pissed off if he went to United, who are almost a billion in debt. UEFA should block that move until they can prove they can function properly.

Relax, we met Gareth Bale's mum in Milan and told her to tell her boy not to leave us, ever

If he were to leave, I doubt anything has happened in the space of a week to make it so.

Someone will come in with crazy money and Levy will lick his lips with delight, we all know it will happen, if someone offers say £80 million can you honestly see Levy rejecting it, he is after all a business man at the end of the day.

I think if someone bid 40-50m for him in the summer Levy would 100% accept

"We are not going to sell him" sounds pretty definitive to me, what else does he have to say to make it more definitive than that?

If somebody offered £25-30m he'd probably accept it.

IF Bale were to be 'sold', for whatever price...it would signal how small minded we, as a club, would be! On top of that it would signal how little Levi & Co know about the EPL...or Football, in general. Lunacy also comes to mind.....HOWEVER...Berbatov apart, we are on the cusp of something...and no money will replace that....Bale can NOT be allowed to move, now or within the next 10 years....SIMPLE?
On a 'dark' note....Levi is a businessman and is capable of almost anything...good, as well as bad......so be afraid My Yid Mates...BE VERY AFRAID? COYS!

I see what the OP is coming from. He doesn't categorically come out and say "Nooo we'd never sell him" in a fuck off sort of manner. He says "the chairman thinks...the chairman's that....the chairmans in charge" I hate the way he distances himself from transfers and makes Levy look like a dictator.
