unless we are signing a left back then bale is going nowhere as bae leaves for ACN soon

Exactly.

I think Redknapp rates Bale highly, but BAE has been in undropable form and Bale has the unenviable task of competing with Modric and Kranjcar (not to mention Gio) for the left flank position.

Bale will be our first choice left back when BAE goes to the ACN.

right now modric and GDS are injured so there's only NK competing for left flank. bale made a good case for himself today (by all accounts, i wasn't there) and may see some games on the wing before he is needed to cover BAE

Possibly. I would've said there would be a possibility of Kranjcar moving to the right and Bale playing LM BUT Bentley (by all accounts) impressed last night, so I'd say he's a shoe in for the RM spot.

Like Gareth Barry Bale will eventually move inside as a central midfielder, a left footed one at that, and he will be superb at it.
That is my prediction for the day.:)

Really? the main reason why he plays LM nowadays is because his positioning is suspect and his tackling is naff

I too predict that he will be a left footed player in the future but I'm only basing that on his current left footedness, so i could be wrong.

From what I've seen over him , let alone LB.

Remember against Doncaster it was Hutton, not Naughton, who converted to LB when they both started.

I hope Bale stays but I still see him as a LM, not a LB.

Eek Unbelievable! He has been fantastic on the right in his few appearances for us and he is only just starting out. No justification for this comment at all. Thats before we even start on the subject of him on the left where he has spend even less time.

As pretty much the only left winger in the team I think he should be getting a lot more game time.

Stoke on saturday was a prime example. Ok, maybe not start him, but when we havent scored after 60 minutes, take off Hudd and bring on Bale, put Kranjcar into the middle offering us a goal threat and have Bale stretching them on the left, as Lennon stretches them on the right, plus he loves to drive past people with and without the ball and getting into the box.

Against good teams who offer something going forward, playing with a left midfielder who tucks in and floats when we attack is a major plus. When teams come with ten men behind the ball, sitting deep and packing the middle, we need to stretch them, get round them or create gaps to go through
