Thing is for me that he could play in the champions league with us if he really wanted it bad enough, but it seems the extra effort is too much to ask.

Do you know what really gets me about this is players like Bale saying they will consider their future at Spurs if we don't reach the Champions League. If they put a decent shift in we would make Champions League! Most of us on here would love to have the opportunity to influence the outcome of the rest of the season, unfortunately the only thing that we can do is create a decent atmosphere. Did VdV say that? I believe he said he wants to stay at the club with or without CL football next season.

Mr Bale could just have easily have said something along the lines of "no I love this club and even if we do miss out on CL football next season I believe we are heading in the right direction and I can achieve what I want to in football at this club"

Ok I might not expect him to say that, but to suggest the only thing he could say was "we'll see" is just plain wrong

We sell Bale and Modric for a combined £80-£100 million and give that to a manager that knows a player and see where we go!!

Hope Bale stays but realistically if we don't get CL I'd say sell Modric and Bale but not to PL teams.
