just put the wales game on and noticed that bale is playing on the right and he's looking quite good,i wonder this season if he could play there this season with luka on the left with sandro and parker holding

I would be all over this and go for the exact same midfield you've described there. We cannot continue to play 2 wingers and an attacking midfielder - the only outcome is more mistakes from Kaboul and Dawson as they are put under more pressure.

Not for me, he has great straight line speed, but doesn't have the agility to cut inside and weave through tackles.

I was suggesting the same thing in another thread.

Bale's been swapping wings for quite a while now, and seems to be looking more comfortable now on the right.

Harry does swap Lennon and Bale a lot in games and it has never paid off once.

Predictable or not Bale at his best running in a striaght line is unstopable! He is a left sided player why play him out of postion? I wonder if Gary Speed had his tatic board upside down?

Play him on the left but get them to swap wings evrynow and then during the game but his best postion is on the left.

Depends on what side of the staidum you are on, if it means Lennons further away its paid off in my eyes!

Sorry couldn't resist, plus he's not that bad..sometimes.

I agree,I was a big fan of Lennon but the last 12 moths he has let himself go overweight, unfit, lazy, and a poor attitude to go with all his problems.Give his place to Gio and make them both fight it out.

You don't remember Bale's goal V Arsenal then? Or Lennon's v Newcastle last season?

Too many people in the uk seem obsessed with wingers running down the line and getting crosses in. The game has evolved now. The only players that really need to go down the line and get crosses in are the fullbacks imo.

Most good teams now have a front 3 or 4 players that are fluid in their movement, coming inside often threading neat passes through to the other attacking players.

We finally have a top striker to cross too. Bale should remain on the left getting on the outside and whipping balls into Adebayor. There's no harm him switching wings if things aren't working out, but left wing is his best position.

2-0 wales. Bale with the assist, from the right as you say. Ramsey with the goal.

This. Bale suppling Ade will = goals, goals goals and more goals. Why move a player from his best postion the only logicial reason would be because we have someone better to play left wing and we dont.

I'm of the opinion that it should certainly be used more. I wouldn't say play him there for 90, but switching with Aaron for half hour at some point would work.

Aaron can do the left well enough.

Im sorry to be the second poster to draw attention to this but SERIOUSLY? the boy tore up some of the best teams in the world doing this exact technique...
