I would have imagined that CL qualification would be the deal breaker but the fact that Bale is shooting adverts for BT's 2013/14 prem coverage in his Spurs kit is promising.

He will stay regardless of what competitions we are in next season, he loves it here, is playing the best football of his life, his family are settled and we don't need to sell.

The media need soundbites and people to read their papers so he is always going to linked here, there and everywhere

We might need to sweeten his agent up as a consequence of any new deal he gets, but that's it

100% confident he'll be a Tottenham player next season even if we finish 5th or lower, which I doubt anyway.

My opinion is, he will be at Tottenham next season but if we do not strengthen with some quality players and push on, i doubt he will be the season after.

He's not worth selling now CL or not. His status is growing to the point where he'll be making us a load of money and Levy would be mad not to take full advantage of it while Bale is still developing his game. Madrid could offer £45m but with sponsorships and TV deals we'll get even more than that if we keep hold of him and add a few top players.

I'm pretty sure these sorts of thing don't mean a great deal. It's a bit like when we have players doing new kit photo shoots etc and then we end up selling them (e.g. Rafa last Summer).

BT will have a contingency plan lined up if he goes (if they have any sense) and I'm fairly certain they wouldn't be able to restrict where Bale goes just based on his deal with them.

Having said that, in that picture he is staring at the ground in a way that, to my mind at least, suggests he is going to stay and score 27 goals with 13 assists next season.

I think you'll find that the way he slightly closes his eye as he gazes at the ground says that he'll push on for 14 assists.

White kit that can easily be changed to the Madrid logos.

Friedel said he thinks he'll stay irrespective of Champs' league qualification.
And he's at that age now where you take his word as sage advice.

I think he is going to be a Spurs player next year come what may.

I honestly dont think he has any desire to leave.

speaking of assists I would like to see him work on this aspect more in his current role. He could quite comfortable directly set up 15 goals rather than the 4 he has

I think his low number of assists is, in part, due to playing with strikers who are afraid of the goal

I thought the exact same the other day. It's obviously a nice indicator but Daniel isn't turning down £60 million just because it'll piss BT off.

FWIW I think he's staying.

Perhaps we could help him by purchasing a forward that can score from crosses?

Purely hypothetical but would you accept Higuain and Di Maria for Bale?
