Well.... me? First one I've been to since Terry Yorath was Wales manager and Paul Bodin hit the fucking bar from the penalty spot against Romania which would have taken us to USA '94.

I fancied a bit of Bale v Azza and that crap Glen Johnson fella! Thought it could have been an interesting game.

Fancy England to win by 3 or 4 goals now.

Paul Bodin, what a complete tool!

I haven't been since the glory days of circa 2003 when we beat Italy in front of 70,000 - nowadays (with the exception of the England game) you can't give tickets away.

I remember cheering as Simon Davies scored :-D

Really interesting stuff on Football weekly about that 'Incompetant amateurs strike again' comment by the Welsh AM.

I wouldn't be against selling him and replacing him with a good striker and Ashley Young. Persistent back problems is not a good sign and it is something that could literally last a life a time. He is so good though that part of me thinks I'm stupid for even suggesting it.

Who buys tickets for international football nowadays? Crazy.

I know what you mean. I remember when I was at school and rushing in early on the days when the school allocation for the 'England Trip' came out. I'd always be one of the first to be on it and it felt like a real occassion back then when the games were at the old Wembley.

I still remember the Rene Higuita scorpion kick at Wembley back when I gave a shit about International football outside of the major tournaments.

Incidentally Higuita scored 5 goals in 12 games last season Eek. Maybe we should sign him up.

Wales were just trying to cover their backs, probably insurance related if the injury was worse than feared by their FA. Harry is just setting the record straight.

This seems good news on Bale's injury front. There are quotes from Harry (In Bold/Itallics) He's saying that there is no tear in his hamstring and that it's only tight. So I am hoping he will be ready for our next fixture away to Wigan

Harry Redknapp has claimed Gareth Bale was fit when he left Spurs to link up with Wales.
Bale has been ruled out of the clash with England due to a hamstring problem, with Wales claiming he picked it up in the 0-0 draw with West Ham.
But Redknapp has claimed that Bale was absolutely fine when he left Tottenham and had no such injury at all.
“I wouldn’t have let him go if he had an injury.
“Gareth played for 90 minutes against West Ham on Saturday and they tell me the figures from that game show he covered more ground than he’s ever done before.
“There was no sign of a hamstring injury. He’s not come in after the game and said his hamstrings were tight.
“When he left here on Saturday, off he went and he certainly wasn’t injured.
“He hasn’t had a hamstring injury. He had a back, then he had a tight thigh and we’ve been very careful with him.
“Now he’s got a hamstring. He must’ve done it with Wales. I’m not blaming anyone. It’s no-one’s fault.
“The first I heard of it was at 10 o’clock on Wednesday night when our physio called me. I feared the worst, but he’s seen the physio and it’s only tightness.
“There’s no tear, but if he plays and it pings, he’s had it.”
Redknapp would be loath to lose Bale, one of his most influential players just prior to the mammoth clash with Real Madrid in ten days time.

The welsh fa are not happy at all they want him to play tommorow a try think everyone is going to pull out as he was wales is only hope.
Apparently somebody else has pulled out tonight too with an "injury" the welsh fa are mad at epl clubs! And the welsh players for not answering their nations calls

There is also doubts to the integrity of the injury and Gareth received phone calls from an ex spurs player today saying he should try to get 100 caps and his country needs him I also know medical reports have been went back and forth today

Honestly I think everyone expecte Gareth to play but something strange has happend

Gareth Bale has reported back to Spurs Lodge today (Monday) where he was assessed by our medical staff after withdrawing from Wales’ European Championship qualifier against England due to a hamstring strain.

Head of Medical Services Wayne Diesel said: “Gareth did not report any hamstring issues when we assessed our players after our fixture with West Ham United which means he was free to report for international duty, nor did the Football Association of Wales raise any problems with us prior to his first training session with the national team on Tuesday following two days of rest.

“He was passed fit to train by the FAW medical team and it was only after 40 minutes of his first training session on Tuesday, which included some high intensity runs, Gareth complained of tightness in his right hamstring and was pulled out of the remainder of the session as a precaution.

“We requested the player be sent immediately for a scan which subsequently revealed the hamstring strain that forced his withdrawal from the squad.

“Gareth has returned to the Lodge and taken part in controlled straight-line running so we could assess him.

“We sent him for an ultrasound scan examination this afternoon and that has confirmed the presence of a minor grade one hamstring strain.

"Gareth has reported no pain or stiffness after taking part in the running this morning and we shall continue to monitor him and see how he responds to his conditioning programme throughout the week."

I'd imagine he'd take no part in the Wigan game too. I can even see him being used as a sub in the Madrid game. Pack the midfield for the first 60 minutes then try and bring him on to snatch something late on the break.
