See this us why international football sucks big fat hairy monkey balls. Glad he's out. Would only get more injured.

It could well be the same type of hamstring "injury" Giggs used to frequently get before Wales games.

I'd rather have him fit for Spurs but it's the only international match I'd really like to see him play in!

This is going to sound way out there, but, and I mean but, if Bale is going to be an injury prone player, would it not be better to cash in now and let Madrid or someone else deal with his injuries and lack of playing time?

He is 21/22, if he was 25/26 I would agree, however there is plenty of time for him to shake off these problems and have a great career

I understand that, and i'm not trying to be contoversial, as you know me as a poster and thats not my style.

But if this is something that is gonna continue, possibly, it may be worth looking at while his stocks are high?

good move - get him out of the England game and rested.
I was worried that certain players might target him given there is more at stake then just the International game..

Yeah, I know you are just making an interesting point.

Personally I feel that the gamble of keeping Bale in hope that he is able to grow out of picking up little niggles is as good a bet, if not better than taking the gamble of selling him now for a fairly high price and possibly seeing him become miles better at another club.

Realistically if we can keep together the nucleus of our squad (especially our best players) we really could grow into a side capable of winning titles and cups every season. Can you imagine if we can keep Lennon, Bale, Modric, Sandro, Huddlestone, Dawson, Kaboul, Corluka (Walker, Caulker, Kane) etc. for the next 5 years+, allowing each player to reach their peaks whilst playing in a settled side? We could really become a special side.

It's a strange one. I ultimately just hope he's fit and playing well v Wigan, but I feel for the lad a little because it would have been pretty special for him and, given that I love him deeply, a love that there are no words to describe but instead just giratory motions, I want him to be happy.

(While that happiness is achievable with Spurs)

Just hope its precautionary, and that he'll be fit and raring to go next weekend. I'm so scundered with International football.

I can't imagine Bale would fake an injury for a game against England. It could be one of the biggest games he plays for Wales - they only had 14,000 fans in for their last home game, but this one should be a sell out.

Not saying he's faking it, rather prevention is better than cure if you know what i mean.

I've got a fucking ticket for this game! The only reason I got one was because of Bale. I'm absolutely gutted!

Now gonna have to watch England edge a 1-0 win and it'll be dreadful to watch. Great!

Who buys tickets for international football nowadays? Crazy.

Well.... me? First one I've been to since Terry Yorath was Wales manager and Paul Bodin hit the fucking bar from the penalty spot against Romania which would have taken us to USA '94.

I fancied a bit of Bale v Azza and that crap Glen Johnson fella! Thought it could have been an interesting game.

Fancy England to win by 3 or 4 goals now.
