bale is pretty solid when it comes to these kind of injuries. i hope this is bullshit as i wouldnt think he would be pushing himself that much as he recovers from his last injured spell. he has , quite rightly, been playing at a medium level the last few games

Oh dear. Let's hope it's an over exaggeration like the gallas injury. Unless he is doing a Ronaldo and worrying about spurs vs Madrid!

Shit. He was an ever present in the league for a year before ye got injured. It's like what Liverpool did with Owen. As ge was so good at such a young age that Liverpool constantly played him.

symptoms felt in the Hamstring can be caused by problems in the back. I've got a worrying thing this will be a regular occursnce from now on. The injury curse has struck again

This is going to sound way out there, but, and I mean but, if Bale is going to be an injury prone player, would it not be better to cash in now and let Madrid or someone else deal with his injuries and lack of playing time?

As long as he' back for Wigan and Madrid that's all that matters.

It's still a bit too early to say. I can certainly see where you're coming from, but I'd prefer it if we just hold onto him for as long as possible and see how things turn out.

This may still be a blessing in disguise as it could well be more precautionary than anything else and at least prevents aggravating what could of been deemed a minor strain beforehand into a much more serious problem if he played against England.

Hmmmm if he has felt it again then this is getting a bit problematic. Hopefully its a mental thing like the stories from a couple of weeks ago about him being convinced he is injured again when theres nowt wrong with him.

That may well be the case, but it's a bit worrying when a player is convinced there is a problem, and is pretty much being ignored by the physios and coaching staff.

If I felt I had something wrong with me, and my doctor dismissed it as psychological, I'd be pretty pissed off that I wasn't being taken seriously.

BBC Breaking News!

Gareth Bale is out of Wales' Euro 2012 qualifier against England at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday after suffering a hamstring injury.

The injury is understood to be an occurrence of one he had before joining up with the Wales squad.

The Football Association of Wales is expected to confirm Bale's injury in a statement on Thursday.
More to follow.

Not bothered about him missing a International but we really need him back and fit again for our Prem run in.
