Yet their best player from last year, Kante, does not make the list...

Kane not getting on there over Aguero and Vardy is an absolute joke. Top scorer in the league, what more could he do as an individual?

Congrats to Lloris. Always said he was the best keeper in the league and I still stand by it.

De Gea at fault for another two goals on Sunday, but of course no mention of it from the media...

It's more along the lines of 'who's team won the most trophies'...which makes a whole lot of sense for an individual award...

But individual awards are nonsense anyway, because football is a team game.

If you are going to hand out individual awards, you have to factor in team performance as well.

Vardy got 7 more assists than Kane and only scored 1 goal less and also won the league with Leicester, so I can see how he got in there ahead of him.

Kane scored 28, Vardy 24. Besides, contribution to a team goes beyond playing the final pass (or in Vardy's case, kicking a defender's leg and falling over.)

Exactly. Vardy played a huge part in Leicester winning the title.

Fans are so biased it's funny. Kane would have made the shortlist if he had a decent Euros, but he had a terrible tournament. Him missing out is hardly much of a controversy.

Müller, De Bruyne, Lewandowski, Pogba and Ibrahimovic all had shit Euros. Vardy did fuck all except a tap in that he almost fucked up.

You're seriously including 3 extra goals from cup competitions to help your point? You can't honestly think that Vardy wasn't massive for Leicester last season?

I'm not saying that Vardy had a good Euros, just that Kane had an awful Euros. And that has probably counted against him.

The others you mentioned weren't as bad as Kane at the Euros, and even if they were they won titles at club level. That's how this game works.
