I’m using a mates ticket for Barca away. However he’s been informed that they will be doing checks on all the tickets to make sure they match up with the appropriate name. Is this something that they take serious on CL away games or do they not bother checking ?
Thanks in advance

I have been to Champions league matches at Barcelona (not involving English teams) and bought tickets from Barcelona and my ID was checked against ticket.
Here is info from Barcelona website for Chelsea game last season:
ACCORDING TO UEFA GUIDELINES. ALL TICKET HOLDERS MUST SUBMIT THEIR ID / PASSPORT NUMBER, NATIONALITY AND FULL NAMES AFTER PURCHASING THEIR TICKETS. TICKET HOLDERS WHO FAIL TO SUBMIT THIS INFORMATION WILL BE DENIED ENTRY. THE TICKETS ARE LOCATED IN AREAS OF FC BARCELONA FANS, NOT VALID FOR FANS WITH UK PASSPORT OR FOR CHELSEA FANS. TICKETS WILL PROVIDED AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE, DEPENDING ON THE AVAILABILITY, MAY NOT EVEN BE TOGETHER.

I've heard at Madrid, it was possible to rub out names and then just write them back on.

When I went to Inter years back, they checked.

Juventus was almost like airport security.

And given the amount of stuff the club are asking us about Barca Away, I personally wouldn't take the risk in your shoes.

Disclaimer: I'm not advocating giving or selling tickets on illegally which I should say on a public forum.

Rub the name out. All they do is check the name on the ticket matches your ID. If you change the name, job's a gooden.

I've bought home end tickets for the December game from Barcelona's official site and received them by email (e-tickets to put on your phone and printable pdf versions) - they don't have the name of the buyer, nor did the ticketing website ask for names for who would be using the tickets. The only difficulty is that the site is blocking purchases from UK ISPs and buyers trying to use UK registered credit cards. If you have any friends abroad, get them to buy your ticket and forward the email

I think you'll need to get someone in Spain to buy it for you mate. The e-tickets for the home end do not have names on them apparently so providing someone can get them for you, you should be good.

Anyone got their away end tickets yet? Hoping the baby wipes work again :ROFLMAO:

Cheers. I'll just buy one out there. Barca doesn't fill at the best of times and they'll be qualified.
