This fixture lives up to its hype always, unlike when the big 4 play each other and fire blanks or score the odd goal.. Anyways best of luck to ramos..

Started brightly, Juande's sent the lads out to bully Barca out of a game, and although it's nice to see from one point of view, it's not Guti's game and if the frantic pace carries on this game will bypass him; he would be maybe better used as a sub when everyone's tired to unlock the defence.

Despite rumours that Anton was to be starting LB, he's on the bench, with S. Ramos playing behind Drenthe on the left to marshall Messi.

It's already got the makings of a proper derby.

Haha, Jaunde just put a young striker making his debut in midfield

Somethings never change

 I have no idea why he's playing, i had the impression that Bueno was more of a creative attacking mid than Palanca, but this is a class game, the challenges are flying in.

Juande Ramos, however, is playing a right/centre back at left back, a left back at left mid, and a young striker at right mid, when Higuain is more than comfortable there.

Messi is getting the Pele treatment. His achillies has taken a battering.

Drenthe missed a good chance. I don't rate him at all, but admittedly I was one of those that wanted us to sign him when I was desperate fot a LB/LW.

I'd be suprised if Messi doesn't leave there tonight on crutches the amount of kicks he's shins are taking, thats just callous by Real.

Ramos has got his tactics spot on so far, infact they really and truly should be ahead with the one on one chance Drenthe had. He's doing ok considering he has 9 first team players out aswell. Not quite the one sided beating everyone predicted eh.....

I laughed at how the GolTV commentator said Gudjohnsen was a "waste of space"

Yes, pack the defence and kick the shit out of anything that moves. Pure genius.

As I said he's doing ok. He's making the best out of a bad situation with alot of players out. What did you expect/want him to do, go out and attack the team who are probably on current form the best team in Europe in there own back yard with a depleted squad?

nb They got a pen now, should put it away
