From a footballing perspective, who can argue it is just the attitude of some of the players, fans and people formerly associated with the club that pisses me off as well as the anti-Spanish agenda Barcelona has- the points I have made above. You cannot knock the way the play but just thought I'd put another point of view out there- feel free to disagree.

I fucking hate Barcelona. I know they play great football but they are such an arrogant club. You only realise that living in Spain. They think they are some sort of special entity and that all their victories over Madrid are some political 'up yours' to Castillian Spain. Messi was unfairly treated but he is a little fucking baby too. He is one of those people whose face just pisses me off. I know he is a great player as is Eto'o (though some numpties didn't want him when we were linked in the summer?????), Henry and the rest but as a club and their attitude they are really smug.

It's always swings and roundabouts with Barcelona and Madrid but when Barca do well they are so arrogant and when they are behind Madrid sore losers. I didn't think Ramos did badly today. Madrid have terrible injuries and they have won there twice in twenty years. In the first half, they had the better chances and generally defended well. Casillas was superb, by far the best keeper in the world.

This may sound like a rant and I agree that Barca play good football, fantastic football but it pisses me off that they have such an angelic and infallible reputation outside Spain when in truth there is a lot to dislike about them.

There were some who were trying to make out that Bent was as good as Eto'o! Clueless mugs...

All world class players are arogant! Barca are no different.

What a great game last night. La Liga is great when its played at that pace too. Barca totally dominated posession, but Real Madrid worked extremely hard and put up a great test for Barca. But who can deny Barca the title this year? They are truly wonderful to watch and Guadiola has stamped his authority on the team very well. As for Ramos and Real Madrid, i think we'll see Madrid continue to work very hard when they dont have the ball. But injuries will cause problems this year. Ramos has a big test to qualify for the Champions League this year. If he doesn't do that then its game over for him, and even that may not be enough.

Hilarious.

All world class players are arogant! Barca are no different.

Not all great players come out with 'Stand up for the Champions you shits' (Eto'o), not all players blame their personal problems when they are playing badly (Henry), (Messi), not all players come out with anti-Spanish bullshit (Puyol, though he is not a great player). Barca are very different, that's the point.

I understand what Coyboy is saying. But like he said, I don't think people understand if they haven't lived in Spain, or stayed there for a long period of time.

It annoys me sometimes, but I still like the club.

Barcelona are the best team in Europe on form at the moment. You can't take that away from them.

That will count for nothing come May if they end up empty handed. A bit like the Scum love in we have in the media, always bang on about there great football, better than the Brazil 1970 team, blah blah blah... Fact is they have won sweet fa since 05 and even that was won in a negative way when they played for pens against Utd in the FA cup final....

Barca are playing well at the minute and deserved to win last night but La Liga has got a long way to go as yet aswell as the CL. By the way have you seen the list of teams they will face in the next round for winning the group...Chelsea, Arsenal, Lyon or Inter. Not as easy as it looks now does it the CL for them....

Can that not be said for every team though? All major Leagues are about half way through the season. Barca are on top form, 6 points clear and going strong in the Champions League. It doesn't get much better. They won the League and Champions League double 2 seasons ago. And they look every bit as good, if not better, than that team.

I doubt they'll be too concerned with those teams in the CL either. Lyon are hardly a team to get worked up about when you have the quality that Barca have. Inter, even less so in the CL, because they are very poor in that competition. And both Chelsea and Arsenal have been done by Barca in the past few years. Barca fear nobody, and they've just beaten Sevilla, Valencia and Real Madrid back to back in the League.

Trust me when i say this. The team that everyone else will hope to avoid in the next round of the Champions League, is Barcelona.

Barcelona are not winning games just because they are playing brilliant football. They are winning and dominating because they simply dont let the other team have the ball ANYWHERE on the pitch. If the opposition defenders have it, Etoo Messi and Henry/Inieta when fit win it back, if its in the midfield then Xavi or Toure get it and if by some miracle the opposing strikers get the ball then the defence and midfield combine to win it back. THATS the main reason why Barca are so brilliant this year and is the number one similarity to the side in 06 that won the Champions League-they are working twice as hard as any other team off the ball-if they continue doing what they are doing then a domestic double is highly likely and the Champions League is also a real possibility too.
